I'm not sure how dark this anime is or will it get dark towards the end. So far, it's a funny yet morbid humor because our female protagonist (who realize she reincarnated pretty quickly) had to survive by eating the corpse of her brother and then frog. They extend her eating scene, showing her eating and blood coming out. Our spider girl is optimistic despite being a shut in.
Meanwhile, the rest of the classmates have a reunion. We found out the monster can talk as she reveals she had reincarnated into a monster. I wonder if our spider protagonist can speak to humans. We find out soon enough.
I notice the spider scenes are all CG (I think) while the classmate scenes are not CG.
We see the classmates who are missing Wakaba who I presumed is our spider girl main character. Also, they talked about evolution and the girl who is reincarnated as a pet mascot character is indeed a dragon. At first, she doesn't want to evolve into something tough because that what ladies want to do.
Meanwhile, our spider girl had two things:
she evolved to Teseract spider after reaching level 10, beating a giant snake She found a human who was carrying a EArth Wyrm egg and got caught in her web. He left the egg after setting himself on fire. Our poor spider girl tried to eat the egg but cannot break the hard shell. The humans came by and took the egg.
The episode was fun. Not tedious as I did sample the manga. It shortens the grinding part and get to the important parts. If I didn't know the source, I would assume this was a video game based anime with its heavy inspired video game mechanics.
Our spider has evolved. She upgrades her appraisal and webbing in that she can control it. She got chased by humans and runs into a big dragon.
The other half is the classmates. During their practice, an earth dragon attack them, killing their teacher. The arrogant boy got knocked out. The young man with the dragon girl defeat the dragon. The dragon girl gained "kin eater" like our spider girl. The arrogant boy's glaring face indicates he will probably attack his own isekai classmates.
She reached poison master after eating some nasty bugs. She almost died of poison.
During her fight with the monkeys and baboons, she leveled up frequently by causing a landslide, dousing them with poison, and using her web to sling rocks. The monkeys kept hurling rocks at her during the first attack.
She level up to 9. Each level replenished her HP and MP. She manage to keep up for so long.
Post credits, she leveled up to 10, enabling her to evolve. As she climbs to the middle stratum, she finds out it is filled with magma.
Our little spider girl evolved into a Zoa Elle. She displays new abilities such as foresight (see a few seconds into the future) and then energy conferment (expending SP to make her webs durable). Meanwhile, the older brother and his group head into the middle stratum to hunt for a spider. I thought they were hunting the main heroine. No, it was a different spider.
I do have to wonder what does she look like to them. We are seeing the cute spider through her mind, right?
We got some new characters whose names hasn't been revealed.
The official website for the television anime of author Okina Baba and illustrator Tsukasa Kiryu's So I'm a Spider, So What? (Kumo desuga, nanika?) novels revealed last week the theme song artists for the series' second cours (quarters of a year). Konomi Suzuki will perform the anime's second opening theme song "Bursty Greedy Spider," and the main character's voice actress Aoi Yūki will perform the second ending theme song.
The singles for both theme songs will launch on May 7.
We finally learned the heroine's name and what she look like in the human world, Hiiro Wakaba. She was saved by the appraisal boy after being bullied by 3 girls who mocked her for not joining the group.
Meanwhile, our spider girl is developing 4 "minds" which she calls body brain, her brain, magic brain, and 2nd magic brain.
At the end of credits, the teacher stated the spider girl had died.
While we don't get a specific amount of years confirmed, I realize the isekai children were not born at the same time. The dragon egg I assume is Fei. Shun's mother made the scarf from the spider web. Spider girl was about to eat Fei. i.imgur.com/gvIfR0el.pngi.imgur.com/B63xdtKl.pngi.imgur.com/o2ilEpPl.png We meet more new characters and the demons are announcing war.
Shun earns the hero title which signifies his older brother dying.
Things are spicing up in the upper world while Spider girl is doing her thing, learning an evil god is watching her out of entertainment.
So I'm a Spider, So What? Episode 10 – Who Is This, Geezer?
That's a lot of subtitles.
Our spider girl unintentionally causes her prey to flee the labyrinth because she is trying to survive and eat, which causes her to evolve and add more skills. Plus, she was lost until the wizard's scouting group run into her nest. Now, she has marked them.
Beginning scenes had a lot of flashing words. I didn't keep track. I think our heroine knows more about the outside world somehow. She's training to defeat Arabai or something, the earth dragon. She witness it killing a giant cobra.
She is enjoying herself like it's a video game. She's very optimistic.
Taka: It's a gigantic mech franchise. I haven't seen Macross myself. I know it's a big one.
