Welcome to the Dragon's Dogma review! Before we go into short review since I have a bad habit of reviewing shows long time after I seen them, I never play the video game. I cannot make video game comparisons.
The anime is simply 7 episodes which are titled based on the seven deadly sins. Out of the 7, lust is the one that doesn't get a huge story focus on its sin. We have a small cast and only 2 recurring supporting characters: Balthazar and Simon. The anime does a good job of evolving and changing Ethan and Hannah, our 2 main characters. Ethan was the guy who help anyone on his quest and then he becomes obsessed over revenge and doesn't show any compassion. Hannah is the complete opposite. She doesn't care for humans and sees them as miserable creatures (being the logical type), but later on, she shows compassion and more emotions. The anime lacks world building as I don't get the mechanics of Pawns (other than they come out of nowhere to help Arisen take on Dragons). Arisen are humans whose hearts are stolen by dragons. They must defeat the dragon to get their hearts. However, without spoilers, there is a plot twist to this tragic cycle. This is a more plot driven show with the purpose of killing the dragon in Ethan's quest for revenge.
The music is unmemorable. The animation is decent. I have seen better CG animation in other Netflix titles such as Dorohedoro. The anime's CG animation is better than Baki's anime.
People getting eaten and stabbed.
Nudity - bare breasts and nipples and butts
Brief sex scenes
Attempted monster rape
Overall, it's a decent anime that looks more like a western animation. It's definitely produced in Japan. I watched in Japanese. If you have time to kill and like fantasy revenge stories, then give this one a try.
Old Man Dream: Well, I went ahead and already spoiled myself over later events in the series. Looks like that gets fairly messy with handling its little plot twist involving Rika, Satoko, and the mentioned story element having some assume there's some sort of...

Old Man Dream: ...Umineko crossover. May have liked the idea with better handling of the story development. But it's basically made Satoko a rather unlikable character now.

Taka: It's a gigantic mech franchise. I haven't seen Macross myself. I know it's a big one.

Old Man Dream: Guess we don't get it. Make things short and sweet: Through some unintentional legal wranglings, Harmony Gold's owned international rights to the Macross name for decades and its Japanese developers, disgusted by the move, had not allowed...

Old Man Dream: ...many later Macross anime outside Japan because that would profit Harmony Gold. Macross was one of three anime titles used by HG in the 1980s to edit together the popular Robotech series popular with fans during that time. Under this deal...

Old Man Dream: ...later titles in the Macross franchise can finally come stateside with all involved parties finally coming to a truce over how to handle things with the Macross trademark and all later anime in the franchise associated with it.

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
