1st - Fruits Basket: Second Season
Dream: This season of the hit shoujo series was one I heavily anticipated in 2020 since it would be the first time that chapters beyond the first eight volumes of the manga would be adapted into anime form, and this didn’t disappoint me. The handling of key developments during the middle volumes of the series introducing two more cursed Sohma and further developing existing characters introduced from the first series served to show the great amount of growth that characters were undergoing, while showing additional emotional baggage that others are still learning to cope with. The final episode’s shocking twist with Akito and Kureno serve as a hook for the “final season” of the series that will air sometime this year, and I am looking forward to seeing the final volumes of the series getting adapted.
1st - Is The Order a Rabbit?? Season 3
Mastermenos: Of course, one of my personal favorite franchises (especially in terms of Slice-Of-Life) are going to end up this high on my list, and this isn’t an exception whatsoever and ended up not only adding even more to character backstories, it continues to do what it does best: Being extremely cute and handling it well, and to add into this, the quality didn’t diminish at all in case of what often happens to sequels. I can thankfully recommend this entire series even more to those that like slice-of-life and aren’t bothered by cuteness whatsoever. This ends up being the anime of 2020, for me. An oasis in the desert of quite a dark year. A well-needed oasis.
2nd - Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken
Dream: A fun and creative slice-of-life comedy, Eizouken featured a trio of high school girls trying to get a school club off the ground creating their own anime film. The series believably depicts the challenges the club face with creative direction, collaboration with others, and securing the financial resources they need for completing their work. In addition, the series highlight comes in the form of Asakusa’s daydreaming with imagining herself experiencing the works that she plans trying to put together with Kanamori having to snap her back into reality to continue with her work. A fun and creative little title if you have interest in wanting to learn the ins and outs of creating your own animated film.
2nd - Interspecies Reviewers
Mastermenos: Honestly, one of the most fun series I managed to jump into the moment it aired, and it didn’t disappoint much, if at all. Both in terms of being totally lewd, and in terms of mostly fun characters, although I would’ve loved to see some of them get more development. Other than this, this is a must watch if you’ve already a veteran to ecchi series, or are already into monster girls.
3rd - My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Climax
Dream: This third season of the high school rom-com offered a great resolution to the series with resolving the character developments of the members of the Service Club and the love triangle that developed with them from the second season. This season explores a major conflict faced with Yukino’s character that tests the bonds she developed with Yui and Hachiman, and shows the growth that Hachiman’s character has undergone throughout SNAFU with deciding what he wants out of the bonds he developed with the two girls. If you enjoyed the first two seasons of SNAFU, Climax is a definite recommendation to check out for a proper conclusion to the series.
3rd - Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
Mastermenos: One of the “Trapped in a Video Game” anime series that is more of a Slice of Life than an Adventure Series, but it’s handled hilariously well and while it wasn’t much at first, the series later ends up becoming a fun ride for those that stood in after the first episode. Turns out, this ended up being more fun than even I imagined, so it gets this spot.
4th - Gleipnir
Dream: I’ll admit I was late to the party on this one before I got working on this list, but was quite surprised with what Gleipnir had to offer up. The series was quite twisted in its plot direction with showing how the decisions and actions of its characters would affect others around them, particularly with how they made use of the abilities granted to them from their ability to turn into “monsters.” This especially hits the main characters of Shuichi and Claire hard with how mentally affected both were with the actions of the latter’s older sister, Elena, and gives Gleipnir a psychological element to its madness combined with its elements of supernatural action and horror. The only reason I don’t rank it higher is because it does end inconclusively due to its manga source material still being ongoing currently. Assuming we even get a second season of the series, I’d definitely be tempted to watch it if another comes along.
4th - Magia Record
Mastermenos: Didn’t expect too much, but this ended up being very fun aside of it’s issues, I don’t really recommend this to those unfamiliar with the Madoka franchise, but this ended up being quite a ride for those that do.
5th - Aggretsuko Season 3
Dream: I’ve been entertained with Aggretsuko’s believable and over-the-top look into the workplace stresses that our twenty-something red panda Retsuko has to learn to cope with over the past few years and this season continued to entertain me with how our titular character copes with adulthood. This season dabbles into exploring the joys and pains of being a successful pop idol when Retsuko becomes involved with an underground idol group after accidentally wrecking their manager’s van, having its equal share of amusing and serious moments. For a work from Sanrio, this season perhaps offers the darkest developments for a work from the studio dabbling into the more darker elements of idol fandom in the season’s later episodes that can hit close to home. The season did feel a little rushed in resolving one particular side-plot in the season and even its resolution felt a bit ambiguous in where it went. But still, I was largely entertained with where Aggretsuko took things with exploring Retsuko’s stint into idol stardom.
5th - Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out
Mastermenos: Watched this for fun and while this type of comedy isn’t anything new, it is handled well since Hana and Shinichi are both a couple of jerks to a point (but that’s part of the fun). I can recommend this to those that just wanted to see a slice-of-life comedy outside of the usual settings. This was fun, but not as fun as a later entry.
Fleet Admiral: Lemme go hop on the poll real quick. You only need three to rub an RPG. I don’t plan on going full on original universe yet. Kinda want to start with low pressure fandom roleplay.

Master Menos: OH! Don't worry about any spoilers for the descriptions of the 2nd Seasons from this point! They'll always use the one from the starting season! I remember the goof-up with God of HighSchool's Banner then. Looking back at that was hilarious!

Taka: Happy 4th of July! I have to make a new Imgur account. I don't know what happened to my old one. Crunchyroll changed its image url. I think the recent threads have dead image links.
