ALERT! The official localized English name for "Fire Brigade of Flames" is now "Fire Force" thanks to Kodansha USA. To comply with this, this thread's name is now changed to the official ENG version and will be called that way from here onwards for Series of the Month threads.
Current Situation: I wanted another excuse to use Enterprise as an avatar again.
Unfortunately, Soul Eater has faded out. The mangaka doesn't have enough promotional power as the gap between Soul Eater's end date and Fire Force was too wide compared to Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail => Eden's Zero and then Shinobu Ohtaka's Magi => Orient.
I assume mangakas want to take a break after seeing their series getting a hit, an anime adaptation, the manga series being a long one finally end.
I'm surprised Hiro Mashima and Shinobu OHtaka wasn't burned out.
As a result, this affect fans and their attention spans when going for ongoing series to vote on.

Well, I just spent the weekend catching up on this series and I have one thing to say: Why on earth isn't this more popular?!? This series is fantastic. Fantastic world building and setting, interesting characters, good villains, creative powers, the list goes on. It blows Black Clover out of the freaking water. My only complaint is that it seems that Sho is kinda brushed to the side after that arc to focus more on the other White Hoods.
“Fire Force” x “Soul Eater” collab illustration featuring Maka. The 17th volume of the Fire Force manga will be released July 17th. The Soul Eater “perfect edition” re-release of manga volumes 1 & 2 will be out July 12th.
The manga is near its finale. I haven't read the manga, but I was surprised to hear another new Shonen manga series near its end. It last 4 years so far
Atsushi Ohkubo hinted in the author commentary in the 23rd volume of the Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai) manga on Friday that the manga was in its final stage. Ohkubo stated, "the story is also in its final stage, and for me, I plan for this to be my last manga, so please accompany me until the very end." The manga's 24th volume is scheduled for release on July 17.
Ohkubo (Soul Eater) launched the series in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in September 2015. Kodansha Comics publishes the manga in English, and it describes the story:

Taka: I see. A global release will benefit it. Gundam did pretty good. The only few franchises that are only popular in Japan but not popular in the west - Yokai Watch comes to mind.

Master Menos: F for Respects. DMX did all his work while suffering from a drug addiction, and I almost never knew until a point. I hope his next life treats him far better.
