For anyone who hasn't already heard the amazing news i am reworking the AnimeVice steam group. I hope to get the community together to play some weekly matches of Dota 2 and other games like TF2, and Planetside 2. Currently the only two active members in the steam group are me and Taka . All the other members are likely part of the old site and are all inactive. As well as having fun we could also possibly establish a strong presence on steam to start recruiting more site members!
To join AnimeVice simply search "Anime Vice" in steam groups or alternatively you can login to steam in your browser and go here then click the big green join button! Once you have joined post in the comment section or you could even recommend a game to play
Steam is a free online store for PC gamers. Steam unlike Origin or Uplay offers much more that just games. Steam has its own client and its own forums for users to share their game experience. In addition Steam is a fairly stress free client providing stress free installations and maintenance. Steam also boasts several unique features like its market and Greenlight.. Steam's market is a whole seperate ecconomy built originally around trading cards to level up your profile however now the market contains millions of in game items for games like Dota 2, TF2, CS:GO and more. Steam market is an easy way to make some extra cash which is real money! Steam Greenlight is a vote based system where independent developers can raise awareness for their games. Steam members can then provide feedback on the game and if it gets enough votes will even be featured on the Steam store page!
Last Edit: Sept 24, 2018 22:53:07 GMT by Khorne: Removed WIP because groups as done as it ever will be
Khorne Yusuke is right though, given that most of the community is from the USA i think you should organize playing times while keeping that in regard. As for me i have steam and i play Dota2 and TF2 but... i tend to be pretty damn good at especially the former. Don't wanna stomp other people :S
HungryWorld 5 AM for me anyway as UTC is the same as GMT. No time is good for me when playing online with Americans since they either have to come on early in the day, or I have to stay up late into the morning, and generally speaking I always tend to be the one accommodating them for whatever reason so I end up screwing with my sleep patterns something awful.
Yusuke I can relate to that. I'm in the GMT+2 zone and have had similar experiences with timezone differences. Also damn 5 AM in the morning is early, that's 7 AM for me and i'm often asleep then. Never game that early or stay through that late tbh.
I'm pretty flexible with time for some reason. You guys and gals have seen me online at odd hours in the site, mostly it's because of school work, this site, and outside obligations. I usually sleep 5 hours a day which isn't good.
I can be online between 11 AM to 3 AM if I have no major events to attend.
The last time we had a Steam play out was with Yusuke Acura Max, and myself in DOTA 2. I didn't know the controls but it was fun.
You probably have to divide into groups unfortunately due to our folks being in different time zones.
Dream: Looks like a remake of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will be airing in July. The original seiyuu from the 2000s series will reprise their roles for the remake and judging from the animation, looks like it will have more polish to it compared...

Dream: ...to the 2000s series.

Taka: That's interesting to hear. Didn't know it was going to get a remake.

Dream: Guess I'm gonna focus on wrapping up Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken whenever it comes out today. Been one of my favorites for the season.
Mar 22, 2020 16:44:54 GMT
Taka: I need to catch up or drop/put on hold whatever series I tried.

Taka: 1 confirmed death in my hometown next to 19 confirmed cases. I heard the police are fining folks for not practicing social distancing on Facebook.

Dream: At least in New York right now, they're not enforcing it. But non-essential employers who aren't abiding by shutting down at this point will be fined and shut down at this point.

Master Menos: Had some serious personal trouble go on, but now I'm through it. On-Topic, where I'm in, everything but the stores (and possibly the restaurants) are closed down.

Taka: They closed off beaches and parks along bike paths as well as extending K-12 school closure to mid May while colleges are cancelled for the semester.

CosmicNoirTear: Everything closed on my part. I live by a bunch of shopping centers. All of the are ghost towns. Hopefully means most people where I live are taking this seriously. Also got laid off from my job two weeks ago.

Dream: My county has 6 confirmed cases. Restaurants and bars have been on take-out or delivery only for about a couple weeks now since New York's the hardest hit state. Hasn't been too different for me any who since I've been out of work and tight on money...

Dream: ...to do anything outside of getting essentials and job hunting in recent months. Though with the state pretty much on lockdown, likely gonna have a rough time finding any employer to work with in-person for a while.

Taka: I think the only thing not closed for mass gathering other than essential services would be funerals in my area. The mayor and staff have been pretty busy in clarifying things in press releases. Edit: my mistake. Funerals are closed.

Dream: Gonna try whipping up a review for Dorohedoro at some point tomorrow. Find that I have quite a bit to cover with the series.
