Google announced on Thursday that its upcoming Stadia game platform will feature Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV game when it launches in November. Google also revealed that the platform will not launch in Japan in November, but stated it will add more supported regions in 2020. The platform will launch in 14 countries in North America and Europe in November.
Other games coming to Stadia include Bandai Namco Entertainment's Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, nWay Games' Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and SNK's Samurai Shodown.
Final Fantasy XV went on sale worldwide for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2016. The game received a Royal Edition for the PS4 and Xbox One in March 2018. The new release includes the previously released Season Pass DLC, as well as other features. The Windows Edition also launched in March 2018.
The game's Pocket Edition for iOS and Android launched in February 2018, and received HD releases for PC in June 2018, and on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in September 2018.
Square Enix revealed during its E3 press conference on Monday that it will release Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, a remastered version of its Final Fantasy VIII game, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam this year.
Final Fantasy VIII shipped for the original PlayStation console and Windows computers in 1999 and 2000, respectively. The game follows the temperamental Squall and his love-interest, Rinoa, as they try to stop an evil sorceress from the future.
The official YouTube channel for the Final Fantasy XIV game began streaming two commercials on Sunday for the live-action Final Fantasy XIV Dad of Light (Final Fantasy XIV: Hikari no Otōsan) film remake.
The film will open in Japan on June 21.
The film will star Kentarō Sakaguchi as the son Akio, and Kōarō Yoshida as Akio's father. Other cast members include Yui Sakuma as Akio's coworker, Maika Yamamoto as Akio's younger sister, Ryūta Satō as Akio's senior at work, and Naomi Zaizen as Akio's mother. Voice actors for the film's game parts include Yoshino Nanjō, Minako Kotobuki, and Aoi Yūki.
The film will feature a returning staff. Teruo Noguchi (Secret Love, Avatar) is directing the film, and Kiyoshi Yamamoto (AKB Horror Night Adrenalin no Yoru, Tokyo Toybox films) is directing the game parts. Kōta Fukihara (live-action Yowamushi Pedal series, live-action Tensai Bakabon ~ Kazoku no Kizuna series) is writing the scripts. GLAY are performing the film's theme song "Colors," and The Beat Garden are performing an insert song titled "Start Button."
I did find controversy, it's the silly kind. People were upset about Tifa's chest size being too small.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered Boost settings
Triple Speed: Speeds up the entire game 3 times (excluding movies) Battle Enhancements: Max HP & ATB during battles, and always able to use special moves No Encounter: Will no longer encounter enemies (excluding events)
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered PC Version Cheats
The PC version of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will have even more cheats available exclusively to that version. It's not clear why this isn't uniform across all the releases, but these additional options are as follows as listed in Famitsu:
Obtain all items Obtain all abilities Maxed G.F. levels Maxed Gil Maxed magic Obtain all special moves Obtain all cards And other detailed customizations in the system settings
Kitase also notes that the Chocobo World Pocketstation minigame mode won't return in this remaster. To compensate for that, unique reward items from this mode can be obtained from Rinoa's special move Angelo Search.
Additionally, Dotemu has confirmed their involvement in the development of Final Fantasy VIII Remastered via Twitter. Dotemu previously contributed to the PC versions of Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IV, in addition to other ports like Ys Origin for consoles. While the extent of their participation isn't quite clear, they have confirmed that this new version will use the PlayStation version soundtrack, not the lower-quality audio of the current PC version. Current PC Version Cheat Comparison
The current version of Final Fantasy VIII on PC already has some cheats built into it. For comparison with the upcoming remaster, these cheats in the current PC version of Final Fantasy VIII are:
A Magic Booster that can give the player free low-medium level spells (Cure, Cura, Curaga, Fire, Fira, Blizzard, Blizzara, Thunder, Thundara, Sleep, Blind, Silence, Berserk, Bio, Esuna, Aero, Confuse, Break, Zombie). A high-speed mode that can fast-forward through everything, though fast-forward speed varies from gameplay to cutscene and can be unstable. A toggle that makes HP, ATB, and Limit Break always full or available. A toggle that makes any action deal 9999 damage. A cheat to bring all acquired G.F. AP to the maximum level. A cheat to max out acquired magic and gil.
The current PC version of Final Fantasy VIII also contains Chocobo World PocketStation minigame, which has been removed in Final Fantasy VIII Remastered.
for Final Fantasy VIII fans, here are info on why the remastered was announced late
Square Enix revealed during its E3 press conference in June that it will release Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, a remastered version of its Final Fantasy VIII game, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam this year. This announcement came roughly a year after Final Fantasy VII, IX, X/X-2 HD, and XII remasters were announced.
Speaking with Famitsu about Final Fantasy VIII Remastered, the game's director Yoshinori Kitase explained that the reason why the announcement was delayed was because the game underwent extensive graphical improvements for its 20th anniversary.
"At first, the original plan was to release the game on current-gen consoles with the graphics as they were before," Kitase said. "However, because of the game's 20th anniversary and the shift from SD to HD televisions, we decided that it was necessary to up the quality of the characters."
This decision, Kitase said, happened almost immediately before the game was supposed to be mastered, which necessitated a schedule adjustment.
Famitsu had asked whether Square Enix had lost any part of the data for Final Fantasy VIII, given that this had been an issue with other titles, but judging from Kitase's response, that does not appear to be the main reason why Final Fantasy VIII Remastered was delayed.
Kitase also mentioned that the remaster will not include the Chocobo World (Odekake Chocobo in Japanese) PocketStation game. The original mini-game offered exclusive collectible items that could be transferred to Final Fantasy VIII, but although Chocobo World will no longer exist, the items can be obtained through Rinoa's Angelo Search ability. Kitase said that it will be easier to obtain items compared to the original game.
Final Fantasy VIII shipped for the original PlayStation console and Windows computers in 1999 and 2000, respectively. The game follows the temperamental Squall and his love interest, Rinoa, as they try to stop an evil sorceress from the future.
The whole theme behind these “Choose Your Life” animated ads is to show the different kinds of protagonists you can be. In the first video it showed a female Miqo’te heroine who was into exploring, taking screenshots, Chocobo Racing, and taking down giant robots as the Warrior of Light.
In the second video we met the male Au Ra hero who was just as hyped as I was to finally have a flying Warlion. It showed him living in a shared house, occasionally being a proper hero, but mostly spending his time being a degenerate playing Mahjong.
The keywords behind the third ad are “Heroine,” “Youth,” “Partner,” and “Adventurers.” In the video we see how the two meet, with the heroine totally carrying the hero who couldn’t be bothered to learn the mechanics. She decides to look past his gambling problem in exchange for his unconditional love and free rides on the sweet 2-seat Chocobo mount you get from Eternal Bond.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The Shadowbringers expansion officially releases today, July 2, 2019. Early-access started on June 28, 2019.
Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn unveils a trailer highlighting patch 5.1. It includes Nier collaboration.
The patch will launch on October 29. The patch will include a "YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse" alliance raid, which is a collaboration with the NieR: Automata game featuring guest creators Yosuke Saito and Yoko Taro. The patch will also include new main scenario quests, a New Game+ option, a new dungeon, a new extreme trial, and other updates.
Last 2 old news. I feel too tired to jump into the recent news I'm missing out.
Should I play the old game? I never played any of the older Final Fantasy games.
The game will launch worldwide on PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020. The game is a PlayStation exclusive until March 3, 2021.
The game will have Deluxe, Digital Deluxe, and 1st Class Editions. The Deluxe Edition contains an art book, a mini-soundtrack CD, and a DLC Materia for Cactuar. The Digital Deluxe Edition contains a digital art book, a digital mini-soundtrack CD, and a DLC Materia for Carbuncle and Cactuar. The 1st Class Edition includes all the content from the Deluxe Edition, a DLC Materia for Carbuncle, as well as a Play Arts Kai figure named "Cloud Strife and Hardy Daytona." People who pre-order the game will receive a DLC Materia for Chocobo Chick. Digital pre-orders will also include a theme for the PS4 menu.
A tribute to a player who lost the battle with COVID-19
Gaming website DenFamiNicoGamer reported that on April 12, players of Final Fantasy XIV held funeral marches in-game for users Ferne Le'roy and Poppy Rose, who had passed away due to COVID-19.
Images and videos of the funerals have been shared on social media, showing hundreds of players participating.
Awareness about the march spread online after a user named Sevengems42 posted a notice about it on the Final Fantasy XIV subreddit as follows: "So this isn't easy for me to talk about. Zalera has lost one of our own to COVID-19. She was a member of FNG and this Saturday at 3pm PST we will be conducting a march from Ul'dah to The Guardian Tree in Central Shroud and holding a semi service. If you would like to attend, regardless of server please do just show up. All I ask is that you are respectful. She was one of us, and a very dear friend of ours. I'm not looking for karma or any such thing. so whatever happens with this post happens. The march however will not be stopped. Thank you for your time."
At first, the funeral was organized primarily for Ferne Le'Roy, but the scale of the event expanded as other players who had lost a fellow friend began to participate. DenFamiNicoGamer was able to confirm that another player by the username of Poppy Rose was also being honored through the march.
In a note posted to the game's official site on April 10, Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida expressed his deepest sympathies to those who have been affected by the virus in any capacity. He also confirmed that development on the next patch release will be delayed due to measures being taken to curb the spread of COVID-19, although he was unable to say how long the delay will be. He stated that the staff is healthy and working from home, and that the game's servers will remain open.
"While many of us worldwide remain inside our homes, we should remember to let joy and laughter fill them─because in times like these, it's especially important to find happiness where you can. I certainly hope that in delving into parts of FFXIV that you have yet to try─battles to be won, new jobs with which to hone your skills─connecting with in-game friends, and having fun together, your days will seem a little brighter," he wrote.

Taka: Didn't see anything until I read the description and comments. It goes by really fast. Edit: Someone really sneak in a picture. Edit 2: Tried pausing to find it. It's harder to track compared to REZERO's IF pictures

Old Man Dream: Set the playback speed on the video to 0.25x. Should make it easier to get a good pause on one of the two naughty bits. Both appear around 0:19ish in the video.
