Since Khorne posted this thread, I can post the Light Novel stuff even though this is WN focused. I won't have to worry about spoiling the anime fans. I'm surprised the main news site is posting this stuff after the anime, maybe to promote the light novels?
I be spoiling myself a bit, but I will forget these stuff. Just posting pics.
Re:ZERO is continuing to prepare for the December 23 release of volume 11, and next up in its previews of Arc 4 cast introductions is Daphne. Appropriate to America's Thanksgiving holiday, here's your Witch of Gluttony.
For folks who love Rem, there is a special poster called A Special Date with Rem.
It will come out on November 26th via Comic Alive magazine.
In that same issue of Comic Alive, we have Petra side story by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrator Shinichirou Otsuka
MF Bunko is promoting Santa Heroines. Rem is featured in one:
It's time to meet another of Re:Zero's witches ahead of December 23's release of light novel 11. This one is described as an innocent looking, cute, dark skinned girl with tropical flowers and her hair and simple dress. Today, meet the Witch of Pride, Typhon
Light Novel Vol. 11 Illustrations - Do not click on them if you don't want to spoiled. I'm an anime exclusive fan, but posting these images myself will not spoil me since I probably forget what I saw and post:
The site I'm reading the WN on is currently on chapter 14. From the images for volume 11 it looks like the bowel hunter comes back. The only problem is that she never appeared in the WN. Especially during the mini arc where she could have. We also haven't met that girl in the casket with the chains yet.
Of course volume 11 could just be multiple chapters. I bought volumes 1&2 and they look really tiny.
The manga adapts the "Mayonnaise" chapter which I have no idea what's it about. I won't read too much since it might be spoilers for me:
In addition to the bonus What IF stories, Re:Zero author Tappei Nagatsuki went back and wrote a series of short stories set between the second and third arcs, developing Rem and Subaru's relationship. The second of these was Mayonnaise Scramble, in which a certain popular oni learns how to make the condiment. (The light novels establish that Subaru is from a family of mayo enthusiasts).
Manga adaptation artist Makoto Fuugetsu had been begging for a chance to adapt this. And, In the new issue of Bin Gangan, she gets her chance.
I feel I posted this in the anime discussion thread, but I couldn't find it.
I'll post here since the anime ended.
There is an exhibit to celebrate Rem and Ram's birthday on Feb. 2
Happy birthday to Rem. Happy birthday to Ram... wait. Who was that first one? It's February 2nd in Japan, which means that fans have been celebrating the 2.2 birthday of Re:Zero's oni twins. Gamers' headquarters and Shibuya Marui 8F Event space are running an exhibit/shops to celebrate the whole month.
Light novel artist Shinichirou Otsuka's lingerie art for a 1/7 scale Stand by you Ver. figure was the big reveal at the exhibit. This 12cm figure will be released by Kadokawa in fall 2017. Specifics and more plans will be announced on the 19th.
For those who are buying the PS4/Vita game that lets you date your heroine excluding Felix because the game is "trap-ist"
it's delayed a week from its original release date, March 23
The official website for 5pb. Games' Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu -Death or Kiss (Re: Life in a different world from zero -Death or Kiss-) adventure game announced on Tuesday that the game has been delayed to March 30, one week after its original March 23 date, due to "various circumstances."
The game will have an original story, taking place before the royal election at an event called the "Beauty Queen Election." The story involves the royal election candidates in a beauty contest, where the winner will receive Metia, a treasure that is said to bring fortune. By circumstance, Subaru happens to kiss the prize, which curses him to die unless he receives a "heartfelt kiss" that will break it. Subaru interferes with the tournament to get closer to the candidates in an attempt to prevent his death.
The game will have eight different endings involving Emilia, Ram, Rem, Beatrice, Felt, Priscilla, Anastasia, and Crusch.
Even after the anime is done, the light novel and manga are putting out lots of new things
The magazine Comic Alive is doing its part for Re:Zero's big month of March. Tappei Nagatsuki and Shinichirou Otsuka are back with a new Wilhelm and Theresia van Astrea prequel, Love Ballad of Sword Ogre (or Sword Demon) - Their Later Tale - a follow up to a two-part Wedding Day Story. Also, Tappei Nagatsuki is continuing the Konosuba crossover with an 88-page supplement. Tappei Nagatsuki tells the story of Emilia in Konosuba's world, while Natsume Akatsuki writes the story of Rem making the trip.
The final Top 5 results have been announced for the SUGOI JAPAN Award 2017 competition - an industry award that seeks to recognize excellence in manga, anime, light novels, and entertaining novels - and Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- won big this year by taking the top spots in both the anime and light novel categories.
RE:ZERO is taking prizes for anime and light novel from SUGOI Japan Award 2017
they made a figure of her "wedding lingerie" as you know the light novel or anime isn't ecchi or fanservice but the merchandise takes full effect and sells it

Taka: I remember watching Devils' Line. I can't remember any issues I had. I have to look at my comments.

Old Man Dream: One of those familiar vampire stories in a modern setting where the male lead hates himself because of his vampiric nature and is in love with a human woman. The execution of the whole story is pretty clumsy and from what I gather, the anime is...

Old Man Dream: Besides that plot, said male lead's involved with a secret government agency tasked with controlling vampires that give into their bloodlust.

Old Man Dream: And adding more insult to injury, the new Injustice animated movie is a big mess.

Taka: I read through my comments. Bloodlust and rapes along with innuendos. The romance I never mentioned of - with the details you mentioned - I remembered now it was pretty bad.

Old Man Dream: I'm thankfully pretty far in the series. Just have 3 more episodes, which I should get taken care of by tomorrow evening. Kind of regret thinking this would be a good title to dabble into for Halloween.

Taka: Didn't catch the Injustice movie. Waiting for it to be digitally available. That's a shame.

Old Man Dream: The movie got leaked online a week early before its release date. The negative reception to it, especially with how regarded the comic book and video game versions of Injustice are, got me curious to see how bad it was. I won't spoil things unlike most...

Oct 15, 2021 9:19:07 GMT
Taka: That is a shame considering they split Long Halloween into two parts. I guess with Injustice, you are appealing to 3 groups: the video game folks, the comic book folks, and then the new fans.
Oct 16, 2021 5:59:49 GMT
Old Man Dream: It sounds like you're assuming the games and comics run separate stories. The video game series serves as the main story of the franchise, while the comics serve as prequel or interquel to expand on and fill in the details on events that weren't...

Taka: Thanks for the correction. For some reason I thought the video game was loosely based on the comic books and treated the two as separate stories. With fighting games, I assumed they had more flexibility due to different endings.
