Umoya - Protects against all mind control, all forms of control, and all misdirection basically Umoya protects against anything that messes with his perception or mind.
Unique Umoya ability - can analyze anything. Ideas, people, concepts, technology, etc. If it exists even if it doesn't, then he can analyze everything about it. He can figure out how it works, He can figure out the strengths, the weaknesses, the mechanics, how to create it, how to neutralize it, and more.
Mask - mask allows him to see all that encompasses the physical plane. None can hide from his sight. Whether hidden in another country or lightyears away in another galaxy, He will see it all. This mask also protects him from any internal attacks and allows him to see those that would deem themselves invisible. Also allows him to teleport even with others also it allows him to teleport even from the afterlife. Protects him from any energy tampering, and thus the nullifying and diminishing effects of something like a containment field.
Armor - With every attack it endures, it absorbs energy, negating the attack, until its breaking point when it releases it all in a concentrated explosion that will harm the enemy, but not the user.
Endgame - A gauntlet that produces spheres that are seven centimeters in diameter and possess the density of a neutron star, with each atom also having the mass of a neutron star. It splits every single atom in said sphere at the same time, compresses it, and launches it as a projectile beam in the form of a gamma ray and fires at the speed of light.
Endtime - the equivalent of Endgame squared, with each atom having the energy and power of an Endgame sphere in itself.
Containment field - The containment field can contain an area as small as a five meters in all direction, and as large as five kilometers. The threshold of this containment field was an exploding star according to Onye and it still has the same energy absorbing, negating, and releasing energy functions. It is used either to isolate opponents, or as an invisible shield to protect when necessary.
Negator - a gauntlet that can absorb and negate any energy it touches and even produce the opposite of said energy. This opposite energy or ‘anti-energy’ as Onye calls it, if it touches the original energy, it would obliterate and consume it entirely.
Cloaking device - can cloak sight and sound of himself and others.
Lifebringer - a sphere similar to endgame but it shoots out a light that heals any and all injuries, whether physical, mental or spiritual instantly.
Horizon - A weapon that spawns a black hole next to the target, trapping them in close proximity with a containment field. The black hole multiplies in gravity and power by ten the first second, and then by one hundred the next second, and then by one thousand the next second, and so on until infinity. Until the death of the target.
Speed field - It negates any and all speed in a certain area, down to the speed of a normal being of that size.
Time field - much like the speed field but stops time.
Heat death - A beam of infinite heat that will vaporize anything it hits.
Portal maker - Makes portals.
Cold world - The same as Heat Death, but infinite cold instead, not to be confused with Absolute Zero.
Infinity bolt - A weapon that hits with the voltage of a large thunderstorm and then multiplies by ten the first second, by one hundred the next second, one thousand the next second, and so on until infinite and the target's death.
Breath taker - It takes all of the wind from any being, instantly suffocating it.
Darkness orb - Infinite Darkness that will engulf an opponent sooner or later.
Soul taker - Takes the soul of the target.
Mind eraser - Erases the mind of the target.
Death orb - A beam of pure death incarnate that fires at light speed.
Sonic doom - One trillion decibels, compressed into a beam and sent at light speed.
Light taker - Most likely blinds the target.
Stone gazer - Turns the targets into stone.
Crystallizer - Turns the targets into crystal.
Afterlife containment device - stop beings from coming back from the afterlife.
Omnipresence disable device - temporarily disables a targets omnipresence
And so, you trained hard to be Chief, to gain power, so that nothing like this could happen again. The first step was to master your clan’s special ability, your bloodline, Umoya: the energy of your spirit and the power of your soul. Umoya could do different things; give different abilities, depending on what body part you channeled it through.
When channeled through the eyes, one could see through walls and other types of cover, as well as zoom in to one hundred times that of one’s normal eyesight. When channeled through the arms it allowed one to increase his or hers strength one hundredfold, and they could increase the speed of his or hers arms and hands, moving them in a flurry of over a hundred strikes per second or one hundred times faster than normal. When channeled through the legs, it allowed one to increase his or hers running speed one hundred fold, as well as increase his or hers leg strength. And finally, each member of the Akachi clan had a unique ability when they channeled Umoya through the chest, the heart. Yours was the ability to become completely invisible to all senses.
Now the training fields….that was usually the status quo with Emeka and other officers vigorously training and disciplining the soldiers, but today was different. For once, in your fifteen years of life, you saw Ime trying exceptionally hard at something that wasn't thinking. Well, maybe he was still thinking, but he was also training. Physically. You approach him slowly, not sure if what you're seeing was an illusion or not (well, Umoya saw through all illusions so...never mind) and spoke to him.
A passage showing that due to umoya it can see through lies.
"Why are you trespassing on my land?" You question sternly, eyes hardened like steel. "I-I...we didn't know! Honest!" He stammers out. "LIAR!" You shout as you shatter his knee cap with a chop. Your eyes saw all truth and saw through all illusion due to the Umoya running through your body, so you knew a lie when you saw one. He sobs and cries out in pain, but you muffle his sound with your hand, as not to alert anyone in your village.
Some passages of onye introducing himself and some info of his ability and the mask he made and how it enhances it.
“Why? I already told you why! He is incompetent, a fool, he lacks wisdom and knowledge! I am the most intelligent and logical being on this plane of existence, it's only natural that I lead this clan to the greatness it is destined to achieve." He retorts. “Our Chief, he lacks foresight. He can't even see how sparing the pale one has doomed us all, while I...I see everything. This mask enhances my abilities to the point that they encompass everything on the physical plane. I see all there is to see. This world is under my watchful eye, as I remain observant; learning all there is to know while avoiding that which I don't wish to see. Like that disgusting display you two put on before seeking me out. A sight I don’t need to see again for the rest of my existence. Back to the point, my sight is everlasting, infinite. My knowledge is an ever expanding well, a book with infinite pages, and my wisdom, an overflowing ocean with the viscosity of solid rock." At this response Izwi sighs and uses her fingers to pinch the bridge of her nose.
Some passages of onye describing more abilities of his mask and some of his other inventions he made with no problem showing his intelligence.
“Onye, glad you could join us. You look…ready for battle. I thought you didn’t fight?” You address him calmly.
“I am and I don’t. I’m simply following your instructions Chief and proving my genius to you and how it can help you on the battlefield.” He replies. “As discussed before, this mask allows me to see all that encompasses the physical plane. None can hide from my sight. Whether hidden in another country or lightyears away in another galaxy, I see it all. This mask also protects me from any internal attacks and allows me to see those that would deem themselves invisible.” He begins, explaining his genius to you.
“This chest plate is a prototype of the defensive capabilities of a containment field I intend to create later. With every attack it endures, the chest plate absorbs energy, negating the attack, until its breaking point when it releases it all in a concentrated explosion that will harm the enemy, but not myself. The current limit on this chest plate is enough energy to crack the planet in half, but it is successive and thus an actually achievable limit, should it be used constantly in battle.” He explains.
“And finally, this.” He says as he holds up his right arm. “This is my masterpiece; I call it the Onye Sphere. This gauntlet produces spheres that are seven centimeters in diameter and possess the density of a neutron star, with each atom also having the mass of a neutron star. It splits every single atom in said sphere at the same time, compresses it, and launches it as a projectile beam in the form of a gamma ray. This is the most powerful weapon known to man, and is only scratching the surface of what I can create.” He finishes with apparent pride.
“You created all of this in the time since we last talked?” You ask confused how Onye could create such weaponry in such a short amount of time.
“No. I spent much of that time speaking with my sister about various subjects. I made these with the time that was left over. About fifteen minutes total.” He replies.
“How’s that for an audition? Do I have your attention Chief?” He asks mockingly.
“You do.” You respond, impressed by Onye’s showing. “Now we can move on to strategizing for the battle to come with the Gaea and Orion clans.”
“Not so fast, Chief.” He stops you. “I may have aced your audition, but you haven’t passed mine. Not yet.” He finishes. An audition for you? The Chief? That wasn’t part of the deal, but you’d humor him a bit.
“OK Onye, what do I have to do exactly?” You ask, warily.
“It’s simple Chief. You have to fend off a beam from my sphere one way or another. You are fast, but nowhere near the speed of a gamma ray, otherwise known as the speed of light itself. Prepare yourself, for you may die with this experiment.” He says as he held his sphere once again, readying it for attack. Suddenly a beam shoots out, so fast that you barely have time to blink or breathe before it's there, hovering in front of your face. This is….strange. Why would his attack do this? Wasn’t it meant to test you? Even if he wants to test your bravery, he should’ve slowed it down so you’d have a chance to react. Looking at his masked face, you can't glean an emotion from him so you can’t tell if this is a part of his plan or not.
“Interesting. So this is what she did.” He mutters, averting his eyes to the ground.
More passages of some of his other inventions such as a bow that fires at light speed and a containment field.
At the end of the week, Onye presents you with the inventions he made to help the clan in battle. First, he presents a bow that shoot arrows at the speed of light itself. It only works for those with Umoya in their body, but only uses the minimal amount (so small it would recover in less than a second) of Umoya to shoot an arrow so the wielder wouldn’t even feel it. For you, he gave a special version where channeling Umoya into said bow will have the arrows simply appear at the target. He explains it as traveling through ‘an invisible wormhole’ so that there is no warning and no travel speed, but infinite force.
Next he presents a finished version of his containment field, the one he based the chest plate he presented earlier in the week on. The containment field can contain an area as small as a five meters in all direction, and as large as five kilometers. The threshold of this containment field was an exploding star according to Onye and it still has the same energy absorbing, negating, and releasing energy functions. It is used either to isolate opponents, or as an invisible shield to protect us when necessary.
Onye also presents a gauntlet that can absorb and negate any energy it touches and even produce the opposite of said energy. This opposite energy or ‘anti-energy’ as Onye calls it, if it touches the original energy, it would obliterate and consume it entirely. He calls the gauntlet the Negator.
According to Onye, he made these in no more than thirty minutes and spent the rest of the time working on non-combat inventions he wishes to use for himself. He says that he will work on a strategy for the battle only after we try our way and suffer defeat. His reasoning is that he is a last resort and is to be used sparingly.
Some passages showing that his mask also allows him to teleport.
“Then don't.” Comes the response from behind you. Both you and Ime jump and turn around, surprised to see Onye here with you and donning his mask.
“Onye? What? How did you get in here? When did you get here? Why are you here?” You ask, a bit flustered by his sudden appearance.
“In order, teleportation via my mask, just now, to tell you not to touch the food or the water the Pale One gave you. It is poisoned and while we are strong enough to survive it, it would leave the clan weakened.” He replies. At that, your eyes darken. To think they would go so far as poisoning even your civilians is disgusting. The Pale One must be dealt with, as do the Gaea and Orion clans.
Some passages explaining that his mask protects him from energy tampering and can thus allow him to nullify things like a containment field.
“My mask protects me from any energy tampering, and thus the nullifying and diminishing effects of this containment field. The necklace I've given to my sister does the same. However I can't give necklaces to everyone in the clan, it will look far too suspicious. I will come back later with a solution for the rest of the clan.” Explains Onye as he blinks out of existence once more.
In an instant the beam hits Ime, and then seems to burst out of the hand Ime held out towards Omubi. The beam strikes Omubi instantly and he is turned to dust, vaporized.
“Accept your fate as a savior of the clan.”
As soon as the beam hits, the four kings scatter in fear of the powerful weapon. That left just you and your clan in the containment field. Alone.
“How did you know?” Asks Ime. “How did you know that wouldn't kill me.”
“Easy. It's your Umoya ability.” Replies Onye.
“Yes, but how did you know that?” Ime continues to question.
“My Umoya ability. I can analyze anything. Ideas, people, concepts, technology, etc. If it exists...even if it doesn't, then I can analyze everything about it. I can figure out how it works, I can figure out the strengths, the weaknesses, the mechanics, how to create it, how to neutralize it, and more.” He explains.
Onye explains how umoya protects them from all mind control, all forms of control and misdirection.
“All mind control, all forms of control, and all misdirection. We know how powerful Umoya is against anything that messes with our perception or mind. We get it. You were going to win. However, Izwi is my sister and I side with her. She should fight the Earth King. Revenge may cloud your mind if you do.” Says Onye, backing his sister.
Passages showing Onye fighting when he was just 9 years old against a much faster opponent and how due to his intelligence was able to toy with his opponent. It shows Onye using his armor to stop attacks the containment field and negator and shows Onye killing the ocean king with a brutal technique.
Without turning you duck at the last moment, dodging the fist and shocking the Ocean King as his attempted speed blitz had failed. He gathers himself quickly, and not a second later is in front of you, attempting to perform a double stomp on the base of your head. Again you dodge, moving your head to the left, leaving him to stomp nothing but air and earth, creating a large tremor as he did. You are unaffected.
As he touches down, he back flips over your head and goes for a spinning back fist with his left hand, aiming at the right side of your head. You easily duck the hit and jump over the second, lower back fist he throws in an attempt to catch you off-guard. Just as you land, he jumps and tries to land two feet in your chest in a double stomp dropkick maneuver, but you bend backwards and watch the feet sail over you. Finally he stops the attack and gets back in his stance, analyzing, trying to figure out how you had avoided his attacks so easily.
The fool couldn't tell. He was predictable. You could read his every move. Every twitch of his muscle, every movement his eye made, they all told a story. A story that was like a picture book to you.
He stays still, scrutinizing you, narrowing his eyes as you stood still in silence once more. He stayed for another minute before asking the question that was plaguing his mind.
“How are you dodging me with such ease? I've always been the fastest. One who strikes like lightning despite the complaints of that Orion idiot. Yet, you dodge me as if I was moving at a snail's pace. How?” He asks, dropping his stance and voicing his confusion.
You make him wait for another five minutes in complete silence. This time, he waits patiently staring back at your mask, unmoving. Waiting. Finally, you spoke.
“Intelligence.” You say.
“What? How does intelligence help you dodge me with such ease?” He asks, befuddled by your answer.
“I can read your every moment. Every twitch you make, is a tell to one with my intellect. You cannot win. Give up and accept your fate.” You reply.
He shakes his head, unwilling to accept your answer. “I don't believe you. Is this your 'special' Umoya ability? Something your bloodline has gifted you? Or maybe something you made to see the future? Tell me!” He yells.
While you could easily make something to see the future, and that was a capability of your mask should you choose to use it, he was incorrect. Your answer was the truth. And you would make him see that.
"You...are about one hundred times faster than me if not more. I might reach five times the speed of sound, barely, using my Umoya to the fullest, but you, you're five hundred times the speed of sound, at least. But still...you can't hit me. Why is that? Because I can predict your every move. You're a simpleton, your face, your body, your stance, it all gives you away. You'll NEVER hit me. The only thing you've done is give me a few new moves to add to my repertoire.” His leg shifts some, exemplifying how uncomfortable he is with this information. He is starting to believe. Good.
"You're lying.” Is his response.
"Then let me prove it." You reply back, before you both move to attack each other.
He attacks with a combination: spinning back kick with his left leg, moving into a double spin which transitions into a spinning back fist with more momentum than usual. From there he spins and goes for a spinning leg sweep with the leg from before, and then a back flip kick with both legs. You respond by moving your head back to dodge the kick, ducking to dodge the back fist, jumping to avoid the sweep and transitioning the jump into a back flip to avoid his back flip kick.
When you land, you strike out with the same combination that he did. He ducks the kick, ducks again to avoid the back fist, leaving himself open for an attack, but you were trying to prove a point, so you continue with his own combo he used not a second before. He jumps back to avoid the sweep and then again for the back flip kick.
At the end of it, you both stand, looking eye to eye. Staring once more. Him in a stance, you still upright.
“Alright. Your words have some merit. But I will still crush you beneath my feet.” He says after the exchange. You remain silent.
He charges with extreme speed, and then suddenly retreats in a different direction. He does so several times, back and forth, trying to confuse you no doubt, before he makes his attack. Suddenly he is behind you, attempting a jumping punch to the back of your head. You predicted this, so you move to the side, avoiding his punch, and tapping the correct nerve on his elbow to disable it, before teleporting out of range of the shockwave his punch will create when it collides with the ground.
His punch hits the earth and creates a large hole that is at least one hundred meters deep, but he looks perturbed, surprised, confused. Likely due to his arm no longer working. He looks like he wants to speak, but instead attempts another blitz with his extreme speed.
This time he goes head on, no feinting and performs a jumping uppercut with his only working hand. You barely have to move back to dodge it, and see why as he spins mid-air in an attempt to decapitate you with a kick. You anticipate this, so you duck and touch another nerve on his leg, disabling that as well. When he falls to the ground, he falls hard, on one leg and looked furious.
“How--” He begins once more. You have no patience for it.
“I already told you. My intellect. Now this grows boring. Allow me to show you just how futile your efforts are.” You spit at him. Truly growing bored as you said.
“Really? Show me then. Show me how much 'weaker' I am than you.” He taunts.
“It is easy to show something that is so overwhelmingly true. All you have to do is attack.”
The Ocean King obliges, running at his high level of speed, and attempting to land a punch. You knew he was biding his time, healing himself with the energy of the oceans as you spoke. It didn't matter though. He couldn't win.
As the Ocean King reaches you, his fist runs into an invisible force, your containment field, stopping him in his tracks.
“A blow that can topple a mountain range still has no chance of breaking my containment fields. You would need something upwards of a supernova to do so. But I will deactivate them. Just for you. Try again.” You speak to him in a bored tone.
His eyes narrow, but he does in fact try again, this time reaching you, hitting you dead center in the sternum. You don't even flinch.
“You can't even budge me in this armor. Pathetic. I have proven my point. Power up to your greatest form, that where you contain the power of all of this planet's oceans. I want it to hurt you as much as possible when you lose. When you die.” You lecture him.
“I don't need it.” He begins. “But sure, to wipe those smug thoughts out of your head, to show you the true power of the Gaea clan, I will power up to the fullest. Now watch. You caused this.” He says as water from around the world gathers on his being within seconds. The water compresses itself into the shape of a man, the Ocean King, now made up entirely of actual oceans.
Immediately he shoots a jet of compressed water at you, but it is easily blocked by your containment field. You can feel that it has the power to cut through even the core of the planet. But it wasn't enough. Next he began gathering his energy, compressing a water orb with the power of all of the oceans on the planet. It takes him three seconds to charge it, and then he launches it at you at thousands of times the speed of sound.
The orb hits your containment field with the power of over seventy percent of the planet, compressed into one spot, and still it dissipates and is easily defended against. Wasting little time, you pulled out the Onye Sphere.
“For you, Ocean King – “
“Ocean God actually.” He corrects with a sneer.
“Ocean King. This is...Endgame.”
The beam from the Onye Sphere, now named Endgame, hits him and he is immediately disintegrated. But you knew it wasn't over. He was all water on the planet and had left some over so he could regenerate. Good, you counted on it.
You pulled out your Negator, the gauntlet that negates any kind of energy it touches and wait for him to shoot more water at you. He does, predictably enough, this time in a tidal wave as big as the oceans that powered it. It stops on the containment field and still is absorbed into the glove.
Using the Negator, you strip him of his control over water and all of his abilities outside of his natural physical ones. He looks down at his now human-again hands in wonder as he feels a piece of himself is gone forever. You waste no time in teleporting over to him and striking him once on the head. He reacts, trying to take your head off with a wild, uncontrolled swing. You merely teleport behind him and hit him once more, dodging a back swing as you do. Again teleporting, you hit him a final time and watched as his body stopped and began convulsing. Three strikes, one for the death touch, that would kill him in the most painful way over three days, one to speed the time of death up to a few seconds, and one to increase his feeling of the pain, causing him to suffer ten times worse than he would've.
Finally his body stops convulsing and he is dead.
“Pathetic.” Is all you say as you blast him one more time with Endgame, ending him for good.
“Speaking of Onye, what will he be doing? Making us new weapons? Armor?” Asks Ime, truly curious of Onye's doings.
“I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think so. He seems more like he's...gathering information on the enemy, these demons. You know the way he saw what the demons were capable of was by looking back in time and watching my Father's last battle?” You answer.
“No? That's...strange. Useful, but strange. How are you holding up with that info?” Questions Ime.
Passages showing that some of the people believe Onye has showed signs of omniscience.
“I would mirror your thoughts Amare. Let us remember that Onye's mask has displayed certain signs of omniscience such as that one time where he just...knew where you were in that spar. He couldn't see you as your invisibility stretches too far and covers seemingly every sense, but he just knew exactly where you were at all times. So I believe his claims of omniscience, meaning that whatever this is, it's on the same level or even beyond omniscience. My only concern is...what are we facing that he needs something so powerful, something so impossible to create? It can't be good.” He says, becoming silent, leaving you to think on his words. Ime brings up a good point, if we can take down the demons as we are now, then what does Onye need to do that requires something so impossible to make, something that takes even him time to create. It was a mystery indeed and the answer was likely awesome and terrifying.
Some passages showing Onye shield tanking an attack that moved a hundred times the speed of light.
“If you're done.” Speaks Onye. “The next demon is here.” He says, as you all look and see a giant eight-tailed demon bull standing there in all of its glory. It doesn't give you a chance to get in any formation as it immediately charges forward at speeds over one hundred times faster than light, being stopped only by Onye's forcefields. Not even you can see anything but a blur as it moves.
“Impressive. These shields can tank exploding stars, and to crack them...the beast must have been mov> ing with enough force to move a star at least.” Contemplates Onye out loud. The bull doesn't seem to appreciate the praise as its next move is to snort, the enormous power of the wind pushing everyone except Onye back about one hundred meters. The bull isn't done either, stomping on the ground, causing a giant hole to open up and the earth itself to start attacking.
Onye explaining how he is immune to telekinesis and other such attacks and some passages about him using negator to negate the ability from the opponent working on them forever.
Suddenly the second head glows again, holding you and everyone else with a powerful invisible force, leaving you unable to move. Immediately following, the six head glows and shoots a red beam that glows with white light, big enough to hit all of you at once. The light hits an invisible force, Onye's force fields, and unlike any other time, the force fields glow white and then disappear (or that's what it looks like to you).
Suddenly you are let free from the invisible force and see Onye standing there with a new and different gauntlet than the one he uses for Endgame. He is holding it up and it has just finished glowing.
“Lucky for you, I am immune to such attacks, telekinesis and other energies that would attempt to affect me inside of my armor and my containment fields, my force fields. This allowed me to bring my Negator, my gauntlet that negates any energy it absorbs. Forever. So he won't be able to try that trick again.”
Some passages showing Onye can cloak himself and others and he introduces his new invention lifebringer.
“No. His injuries are grave and without simply commanding him to heal, it's going to take some time. Unfortunately, we don't have any other options and...” She trails off when Onye raises his hand. “Let me guess, you invented a better option?”
“I don't even have to answer that.” He replies as he takes out a sphere, similar to Endgame. “This is...” He begins before Izwi cuts him off.
“No! You're not naming this one too!” She all but yells at him.
“You're lucky I'm cloaking our sound as well as our sight, or that outburst would've gotten us killed Iz. Control yourself. Now as I was saying, this is what I call Lifebringer. It heals any and all injuries, whether physical, mental, or spiritual. While I didn't develop any more destructive inventions during this past decade, I did work on technology that betters life in every way. This is one of those. Now allow me.” He says, chastising Izwi for her yelling, before causing the orb to glow and shoot out a beam of light at you.
As the light hits you, you feel all of your pain instantly vanish. Immediately you can move perfectly again, and feel almost better than perfect.
“Wow.” You say, sitting up, blinking a little as you look around. “That works really well and really fast. Thank you Onye, and Izwi for your effort and love.” You say, briefly releasing your stealth as you look around for your sword.
Some passages showing a demon sending Onye to the afterlife and saying technology doesn’t work and he won’t be able to escape but Onye does manage to teleport five hours later after modifying his mask.
You notice Izwi shoot up, having taken a seed no doubt as her energy was full. She looks around as if trying to sense for Onye before speaking.
“What did you do? Where did you send them?” She asks with a snarl in her voice.
“To the Afterlife.” He answers. “More specifically, I didn't kill them, I teleported them there.” At that answer, Izwi smiles and you know why. If he was merely teleported, then Onye would be back soon. It was a known ability of his mask.
“Is that all? Good. I'll be seeing my brother soon then.” She says confidently.
“No you won't, dear Izwi.” He begins, somehow knowing her name. “You see, the Afterlife is special. In the Afterlife, no technology works. It simply doesn't function. So your brother and your army are stuck there forever.” He says before he begins laughing maniacally. ——— “Onye! You're back! How? How long has it been?” You say, looking around and noticing that night has fallen upon the area.
“Yes I am. I figured out how to tweak my technology to work in the Afterlife. And it's been approximately five hours. To answer everything in order.” He replies.
Onye makes a whole bunch of equipment for the army.
Over the next week, the one that is mostly at work is Onye. For the first hour, Onye is seen by no one, locked in his workshop, his mind set on only one creation. In that hour, Onye makes twenty new inventions, weapons to be used against Demon King he says. By the end of the day, he has mass produced enough of his own armor, cloaking devices, and Lifebringers for the entire army to sport one. In addition to that, their bows are upgraded to be “Endgame bows” that shoot out exclusively Endgame arrows as they did against the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox, the Demonic Power Incarnate. The next day, Onye declares that he was done working on the first day and will be relaxing the rest of the week, confident that we will win. The rest of the clan use most of that time to become accustomed to the new armor and technology, and you know you are ready to face the Demon King once more.
Onye unleashing his new weapons against the demon king and his summons.
Immediately Onye acts again, pulling out another weapon, a different orb it seems. Instantly the ten powerful demons are trapped in their own separate fields while a black ball appears next to them, sucking them in.
“Horizon.” Begins Onye. “A weapon that spawns a black hole next to the target, trapping them in close proximity with a containment field. The black hole multiplies in gravity and power by ten the first second, and then by one hundred the next second, and then by one thousand the next second, and so on until infinity. Until the death of the target.” He explains, reminding you somewhat of the child you first met ten years ago. If he was explaining his work this meant several things. One, he felt like he's been challenged by a lesser being, one who will not appreciate his work at face value. Two, he is angry at the challenge and wishes to overkill the challenger. Three, he's still angry at his perceived loss to the Demon King when he was whisked away to the Afterlife. All understandable.
“Impressive. Though I should expect no less from the man who did the impossible and got technology to work in the Afterlife. And in a week no less. Unfortunately this will not be enough. I have another test for you until I allow you to fight a God such as myself. In the Demon World, I acquired an ability.” He says, as he raises his hands in the air. Suddenly an army of one thousand Nine-Tailed Demon Foxes is raised alongside one thousand Yamata no Orochi's. “I can usually raise the demons I control as constructs for my opponents to fight, and now I can make an army out of them! Have fun.” He says with an evil laugh as he falls back behind the incredible Demonic Army.
You hold your hand up, having your army hesitate on shooting their arrows just yet. You can tell that Onye wants to handle this alone and you would let him. If there was anyone here in the least amount of danger, Demon God included, it was Onye.
“Oh look, more demonstrations.” Onye says before taking out another orb. This orb he shoots at the ground and you watch a strange energy travel throughout the entire demonic army. “My Speed Field. It negates any and all speed in a certain area, down to the speed of a normal being of that size. The army is now far below light speed in movement and reactions.” He says, before pulling out another orb. “Heat Death. A beam of infinite heat that will vaporize anything it hits.” He says, vaporizing one hundred of the Yamata no Orochi's, deeming them to be the most dangerous. As he does, several hundred beams of Destruction are sent towards his person, though the speed field appears to slow them down heavily. Onye reacts calmly and brings out another orb. “Portal Maker. It's self explanatory.” He says before a giant hole opens up in front of him, swallowing the Destruction beams. Not a second later, another portal opens up behind the Eight-Headed Serpent Army, destroying another several hundreds of them with their own attacks.
“Now where was I? Oh yes, Cold World. The same as Heat Death, but infinite cold instead, not to be confused with Absolute Zero.” He says, using it to wipe out the last of the Yamata no Orochi army. “Infinity Bolt.” He says, moving on to the next weapon. “A weapon that hits with the voltage of a large thunderstorm and then multiplies by ten the first second, by one hundred the next second, one thousand the next second, and so on until infinite and the target's death. It should sound familiar.” He says, using it to begin the deaths of a hundred of the Kyuubi no Youko army.
“Breath Taker. It takes all of the wind from any being, instantly suffocating it. Unfortunately not so useful due to the regeneration capabilities of the Demon Fox. But a nice distraction nonetheless.” He explains, using it on the next hundred of the Demon Fox army. At this time, the army is watching in shock and awe while you and Izwi watch with...a look of expectancy. You knew how smart and how good Onye was, so this came as no surprise. You did notice that the Nine-Tailed Foxes that were hit with the Infinity Bolt were still alive though, which shocked you until you remembered Izwi's unsuccessful attempt to have the heavens smite the beast. And that was just one of them. You do notice the other hundred or so Foxes gasp for air for but a second before their healing seems to kick in.
“Darkness Orb. Infinite Darkness that will engulf an opponent sooner or later. There is no escape.” As yet another orb is taken out, this time aimed at the same group that was suffocated. The group is enveloped in darkness, much like Izakhi's elemental form, and unlike with Izakhi, they are successfully swallowed by said darkness. “What's next, Soul Taker? No they're immune to Soul attacks. Mind Eraser? Likewise, immune to that as well. Death Orb. Yes, Death Orb. A beam of pure death incarnate at light speed. It will work for now.” Muses Onye, seemingly playing with the army of extremely powerful beasts who have yet to reach him due to the Speed Field. No sooner than he's done musing does he send a white, silvery beam towards another hundred of the Demon army, causing them to simply drop dead. To your surprise they begin to heal from the death almost immediately and you can see the displeasure in Onye as he tilts his head to the right.
“Of course. Sonic Doom it is.” He says, taking out a separate orb. “One trillion decibels, compressed into a beam and sent at light speed. Guaranteed to make any enemy deaf, or should I say 'death'.” He jokes, as he shoots down the same Demon Foxes who don't seem to want to die. This time they completely disintegrate, seemingly just vanishing into thin air. “Next is Light Taker...I'll save that for Demon God. So next up is Stone Gazer. It's all in the name.” He says, before firing off a gray, silvery beam at the next hundred Kyuubis in the army, instantly turning them into stone. Not a second later do the Kyuubis turn back however, rendering the weapon useless. “Really. What about the Crystallizer then” He says, turning some into diamonds, some into rubies, sapphires, emeralds and so on. The Demon Fox army shines bright for but a second before changing back from that as well. Onye can be seen flexing his hand and cracking his knuckles.
“I see. Then back to the beginning for the rest. Heat Death.” He says, incinerating the stubborn hundred that wouldn't be turned to stone or crystal. “Cold World.” He says, freezing and shattering the next hundred. “I tire of these games.” He states finally, using the Horizon on the remaining five hundred, trapping them in a field with a black hole that will eventually reach infinite gravity and power. Even if you knew it was a possibility, it still was amazing how Onye could take on an army of beings that were so powerful, that one nearly killed the entire clan. And he does it easily, without breaking a sweat.
You breath hard, wondering if it’s actually over this time, not daring to drop out of your stealth just yet. To your horror, Demon God is back just ten seconds later.
“I control the Afterlife Amare. You can kill me, which is impressive in itself, but you cannot keep me dead.” He says with an increasingly demonic and cold tone. Immediately after he finishes speaking, a beam comes from Onye that looks just like Endgame, but you can tell that it's not. It's more powerful, far more powerful. Joining in, you shoot a beam from your sword, compounding on the damage, hoping that somehow this will be the final time he dies.
What you see terrifies you. Demon God is holding both beams in his right hand—no just in front of it, blocking the attacks with what looks like a small amount of Destruction. The Destruction then grows into a beam, pushing your attacks back quickly, triggering Onye to throw his orb into it, causing it to glow white and disappear much like everything else hit by Destruction. You realize just how close Onye got to dying when it does.
“He overpowered the Endtimes, the equivalent of Endgame squared, Endgame with each atom having the energy and power of an Endgame sphere in itself. And he overpowered it with ease. The Orochi's Destruction truly does destroy everything...and that is the key.” You can hear Onye musing as he pulls out another of the same orb.
Tired of Demon God's repeat resurrection, you charge forward while he's distracted, hoping to kill him once more. You allow yourself to be heard despite your stealth and yell to your mother and Izwi, hoping to end this.
Some passages showing Onye created an afterlife containment device.
Demon God's eyes widen as he is engulfed by the red, glowing beam of Destruction, glowing white before disappearing. Not wasting time, Izwi commands him to “Stay dead and not come back” and your mother uses her soul manipulation to attempt to keep his soul in the Afterlife. Onye too appears with an orb in his hand.
“An Afterlife containment device.” He says as he re-appears with nothing but his mask on, everything else destroyed by Demon God's punch.
You all wait with bated breath to see if Demon God will return. Ten seconds. Thirty seconds. A minute. Two minutes. Nothing. You'd done it. You had won.
“It is done.” She says after a quick moment, bowing to you, as you stare upon Ime's glowing figure. You can tell that his strong will and Umoya is causing him to hold on this long, but you know nothing can be done. Then something comes to mind, if Onye can negate speed, maybe he had something else that was similar to stop Ime from continuing to be destroyed. Maybe...
“Onye!” You shout. “Is there any way we can maybe stop him as he is, until you or someone else can find a way to save him?” You ask, hope blossoming in your heart.
“Yes. I have a Time Field, much like the Speed Field.” He begins.
“Excellent, then let's do that and freeze him until you can--” You start, before being cut off.
“No. To do that would be to deny Ime his passage into the Afterlife, into a better place. He is too far gone for anything to happen and the only way to save him is to mess with time. And I do not recommend it, for it can change everything for the worst.” He warns.
Passages showing the Demon god is omnipresent and Onye had made a device that temporarily disables omnipresence so that they can be defeated.
"But how?" Asks Izwi, as she, Thema, and Onye sealed him in the afterlife.
"Don't feel bad Izwi, your powers and your technology worked. I truly am sealed in the afterlife never to return, but I am also here for I am omnipresent."
"Omnipresent?" You ask, too numb at Ime's death to truly feel anything.
"Yes. Did you think that only weak demons existed in the Demon World? Given there weren't many stronger than Kyuubi or the Orochi no Yamata, but there was one...the God of Demons himself. He has no name, and he was very difficult to control and absorb, but that shows that even omnipotence bows to me. Due to his powers, I am now omnipresent and cannot truly be killed." He explains with a grin.
"Onye, is what he's saying true?" You ask unsure of how to process this.
"Yes. But I was prepared for this. This is the threat I spoke of, where we need to do the impossible. I have created a device to temporarily disable his omnipresence. When I activate it, you will have to stab him and absorb the essence of all the demons inside of him into the sword. That is the only way." He explains. So this was the impossible thing he was working on. It all makes sense now.
"Right. Just let me know when." You say with a nod, awaiting orders to avenge Ime and destroy this Demon once and for all. Immediately Onye shakes his head.
"Disappear now. You will know when to stab him. Now GO!" He says as you nod once more and abide by his command, disappearing.
"That old trick Chief? Does it matter if you're invisible when you can't truly harm me? And even if you manage that, you have no way to kill me. Your efforts are futile!" He claims with a grin that transforms into a sinister smile. “Just like Ime's.”
You know nothing but anger when he dares to defile Ime's name and dishonor his actions. It is only through sheer willpower that you don't rush in and chop him into pieces. You're not sure how much longer you can wait if he keeps mocking Ime like that.
"Not exactly." Says Onye as he shoots a beam from his orb, next to the Demonic God. "Now!"
"Ha! What do you expect to...acco...mplish." Says the Demon God as you impale him on your sword, draining his energy from his body as you do.
"Fool, I will simply return as I did last time and...wait no? What have you done to my omnipotence? How? That is impossible!" He panics with eyes wide open.
"Not for me." Says Onye as he uses Endtimes for good measure. "Ime, your sacrifice will not be in vain."
And like that, Demon God is defeated. The world is safe. Your clan is safe. And Ime is a hero.
Powerlvlsrbullsh1t , one of the other mc has a nice umoya ability he can make himself completely invisible to all five senses.
Wasting no time, you immediately activated your unique Umoya ability and turn invisible to all five senses. That means that no one could see you, hear your movements (even the sonic booms you make when you move at full speed), smell you, taste you (doubtful they would do this anyways), or even feel when you touch or attack them. In fact, going close means you can attack as much as you like and they won't feel anything but pain. No impact, just the force of the blows and the pain they bring. At your sudden disappearance Emeka's eyes harden, his spear readies, and he shouts loudly.
Taka: Thanks Master Menos! I'll work on finishing the Winter 2020 guide.

Dream: Hmmmm... looks like the version of Vampire Bund I'm seeing on Funi's YouTube channel's an edited version. A couple minutes of episode 2 were clearly removed with Mina in nothing but underwear battling human assassins. Then again, recall there was a good...

Dream: Not sure if I should be donning the nostalgia goggles or not giving a damn. Looks like the original Digimon Adventure series is getting a reboot airing starting in the Spring season.
Jan 21, 2020 3:21:13 GMT
Taka: I'll watch it if there's nothing catching my eye in Spring. winter 2020 was a weak anime season for me.
Jan 22, 2020 18:29:46 GMT
Dream: Wouldn't say it's all bad for me. Have a few titles holding my interest. Just it typically doesn't have as many major titles of note that would hold me over.
Jan 22, 2020 23:54:44 GMT
Dream: Done with Vampire Bund. Will be working on a review of it before I hop into the next Funi series. Hoping to get it up either tonight or tomorrow, depending on how lengthy my thoughts get.
