Taka I didn't get all of the links done either. Only the important ones (Star for Helel, etc.) but as a game it is a bit harder than Persona 4 (I played Persona 3 Portable and tbh the difficulty is about the same save for secret bosses) and I actually completed way more Social Links in 3 than 4. It was a helluva lot easier to max out stats in 3 though. Elizabeth is a very fun/stressful battle (unless you are prepared to do the second phase after she heals herself, which I wasn't lol so I beat her with a second turn High Counter) that I'm actually glad I have on my gaming record haha. I loved both games but I liked 4 slightly more due to dungeon variety. But 3's Persona summoning is way cooler.
Persona 3 - most challenging combat system (I play the FES version. don't recall how the PSP or original PS2 versions work) the AI can make stupid decisions even if you tell them to do that
higher reward quests but unforgiving if you don't watch the calendar
Persona 4 - easier social links lvling due to being more flexible (P3 social links don't work mostly in vacation why?) and it can be platonic, romantic for both gender since P4 protagonist has no preference for gender,
I agree with you the dungeons are interesting in P4 since they don't get stuck in a tower like P3. I do miss the explore and scatter command in dungeons for P3. Takes out the monotony of dungeon exploration
I like both stories but I'm not good with bittersweet endings such as P3 which is way too sad for me. It's haunting.
I played the Portable version of Persona 3. You can just go to Tactics and choose Direct Command and you can control your party members. I heard about the AI in the PS2 versions (looking at you Mitsuru Marin Karining everything) and also my PSP emulator works way better than my PS2 emulator. I liked both stories but I have to agree that while 4 can be dark at times (still about a murderer), it's general light-geartedness was a nice change of pace for an SMT game. I think I only used the scatter function once when it told me to lol I just preferred to explore as a group so that everyone gets the same amount of EXP per battle. If there is one thing I am absolutely not looking forward to in Persona 5 is demon negotioation. I heard it's much easier than the mainline SMT games, but still. I wonder how it will work.
Time to play Persona 5 today. There aren't much news on ANN and Crunchyroll. I'm thinking the simulcast updates are almost done.
I finished the 3rd dungeon yesterday. Trying to figure out the Persona 5 Confidant schedule but I realise most of them have no set routine. Planning out and finishing a person while trying to avoid break time which has no rank up events is a challenge
Found out there is a reward for scoring high on the exams
Found out too late since I'm not sure who to asked and what is earned for exam 1
On July 19th, I found out Sojiro gave you a Dandy Mirror for the 2nd exam
on my blind run of Persona 5 run, I thought my first romance was either Ann or Makoto but instead it was the doctor. Despite having two stat requirements and one Memento request, she had less breaks and more availability since she is available during the rain.
for blind run, the only guides I have are social link guide for answers and to see requirements since it is a pain to reload data to get the best answers
however some guides didn't list you need to do Ryuji Rank 7 event in a special manner, at night and when he calls you.
Not sure how open they are with Null skills since in Persona 5, you get to choose and in Persona 3 and 4, you have to keep shuffling back and forth to generate random attacks to pass on to your Persona
I look through the compendium and list all the null skills
Decarabia (Fool) - Null Fire Skadi (Priestess) - Reflect Ice
I'm on the fifth palace and I love this game!!! Some pros and cons:
- Dungeons keep you guessing and aren't too linear - Characters are memorable and interact well with each other - Much improved fusion system with new additions such as the ability to strengthen your Personas - Soundtrack is great - Numerous options for stat boosting - Twist on high school life/Persona user life rather than the standard formula like the other Persona games - Aesthetics are amazing
- Tutorial makes Kingdom Hearts 2's look short - Some Confidants are random with their days and times - The amount of days you are forced to sleep is a straight up catastrophe
I haven't got that far. Without spoilers, my problem is they lay their themes a bit too thick. I know they trying to be realistic with the exploitation and physical abuse along with sexual assault and harassment in both school and work force. I found the first dungeon a bit overbearing and cringing with its boss. I know they are trying to make a point. It's not a Japan exclusive thing and it happens in the states, too.

First playthrough: I romance the doctor. 2nd Playthrough: was going to do the harem route but now, I changed my mind. In Persona 4, I did the same thing. Romance the first girl that I max social link which was Chie. Yukiko was close but she had a break while Chie did not for her 9th-10th rank. That was regular Persona 4.Persona 4 Golden really punishes you for cheating on girls.
Persona 3 doesn't let you choose or decline romance requests. I only played FES.
Without spoilers, New Game Plus lets you transfer money, equipment only (the equipment appears randomly. Believe when you get Ryuji in your party), Persona Compendium, key items from max social links (which I don't understand since you still need to unlock social links for bonuses.), social parameters
Old Man Dream: Fun fact about The Rescuers: It has a dirty little secret you can find in older releases of the movie. (NSFW, as a heads up)

Taka: Didn't see anything until I read the description and comments. It goes by really fast. Edit: Someone really sneak in a picture. Edit 2: Tried pausing to find it. It's harder to track compared to REZERO's IF pictures

Old Man Dream: Set the playback speed on the video to 0.25x. Should make it easier to get a good pause on one of the two naughty bits. Both appear around 0:19ish in the video.

Old Man Dream: Just got done with The Rescuers. See if I can get a review for this up tonight or if not, sometime tomorrow.
