Opening Theme Song:
Prologue: Shortly before the first treasure seekers arrived
Standing on top of the highest point of Nijo castle was a man clad in gold who seemed to be watching the sun rise. His eyes were however glossed over with a kaleidoscope pattern on them. As he did this Nijo castle vibrated violently but didn't show signs of falling apart. "There's no point in struggling I already command your power and soon I will command your will. Honestly, you should have just handed yourself over to me from the moment I woke you up but you insisted on doing this the hard way. Now I have warped your city and altered your palaces. Too bad commanding your power means I can't touch you seals. But I won't have to. These fools will do that for me." He said seemingly to no one and in a cocky tone. But he spoke as if he knew his intended audience could hear him. But now the vibrations seemed more like something thrashing around in it's cage. Then as the patterns left his eyes the vibrations stopped and the man disappeared.
Inside the office of Neo Parker sat Rex and Kou facing a the outer curve of a silver desk, behind it sat a middle aged man in a black suit. Rex looked impatient while Kou seemed to be nervous or giddy. Neo toyed with glass sphere in his hands, they had been sitting like this for about 10 minutes now. Finally Neo put down the balland began to speak.
"Gentleman now you're probably wondering why you are here. Long story short, Rex you have been speaking and taking small assignments from one of my recruiters and now it's time for your big audition. Raikou you have also caught the eye of one of my recruiters, now you're probably wondering how could this be. Well your village is supported by mine and several other companies because that village is known for turning out exceptional warriors. I know all about the story you told the town and have found evidence that supports it. I want the two of you to work together on a big job. What do you say?" Neo said.
Raikou responded first leaping out of his chair. "Name your task and see it done. If you truly believe me and help the people then you must be a good guy. So I'll take it and do my best to not let you down."
Rex also rose from his chair and exclaimed "Alright this sounds like a real mission where I can face a real challenge. So lay it on me!" He brought his hand down on Neo's desk and split it in two. "I'm sorry....sir." Rex quickly said.
Neo's guards outside the door walked in to check it out and Neo waved them away giving them an ok sign. "Well good to see you in such....... high spirits. Glad I never kept much in that desk. Anyway I am sure you have heard the rumors about Kyoto."
Both of them nodded.
"I want you to go to Kyoto investigate it and see if the rumors are true. If they are seek and find the treasures and untold riches. When you find them tag them with this symbol, it acts like homing beacon and it'll allow me to safely transport the treasures back to my facilities. Also flash this symbol if you run into anyone else from the cities. I'll be in constant contact with you through it as well. " Neo explained as he pulled out two small metal plates with identical looking symbols on them from his jacket.
Rex began to ask "How do they work and -"
"You'll figure it out." Neo said before the metal plates began glowing. He held them out to Rex and Raikou. Then a light went from the plates to the two of them, they were surrounded with a golden aura for moment and then it faded. Neo then placed two fingers to his head and said "How do you feel?" Neo's voice seemed to come from Neo and the minds of the Rex and Kou. They replied "Just fine." Neo smiled and said "Okay one of my assistants outside will get your prepped, briefed, and transported to Kyoto. Good luck gentleman, there's much at stake here."
As if on cue two women entered Neo's office, one of them motioned for Rex and Raikou to follow. The other one remained. "Have those operating for our friends been prepared?" The assistant responded "Yes they actually left a while ago. They should be on scene in the hour." Neo nodded and the assistant then exited the room.
"This is the rumored Kyoto." Rex said as he and Raikou walked the streets. Suddenly Neo's voice rang inside the duo's head "Get moving don't want my treasure being taken!" The duo entered the once great city of Kyoto and made a beeline straight for the nearest temple. Raikou tried to pass through the gate to Nishi Honganji temple and found himself colliding with a force field. "Neo!" Raikou said in irritation. "Were you not paying attention in the briefing some of the temples and castles seems to be transmitting some sort of metaphysical energy. There nine in total and our scanners have picked up barriers around 8 of them. So go to the one without a force field!" Neo said into their minds.

Yvach lunged tree to tree, swinging and jumping, red blurs beside him. He leaped tree to ground to tree once more, taking the path of least resistance. An interesting place. He didn't normally see trees. The travelers he had heard of this place from hadn't mentioned trees, just directions. He should have followed them here, but his family needed to eat. A scouting fetchbat fluttered overhead as he stopped at the edge of the woods, looking over the buildings ahead. Buildings. Also something he rarely saw.
The fetchbat continued to circle, keeping an interest in some figures by the buildings. It seemed somebody had beat him here by just a bit. Should he wait for them to go in and collect the treasure for him, then attack when they left? No, they may be strong enough to resist, or not take what he wanted. For now, he would follow. He screeched at the fetchbat and it flew off to tail them, hovering near enough to eavesdrop on their conversations. Maybe he could learn something. He motioned to the four hideous beasts tailing him and the group fell into a stealthier silent gait.
More than 20 klicks away from the newly risen city of Kyoto lies a small cluster of tents that surround a much more massive tent. Outside the tents, a man is using a pair of binoculars and behind the man stands two fully equip soldiers. "Its just as you reported from a few days ago." said Jack Dalton. A person emerges from their tent and walks up to the trio as he says, "I can't believe this. A city in such great condition..." Jack continues to study the city before issuing a command, "We are going to explore and investigate this city." "Yes Sir!" responded the two heavy soldiers in unison. Then one of them asks the question, "Who shall we send Sir?" Jack hands the binoculars to one of the soldiers and answers, "Mark and I will suffice." Mark, the man who is standing right besides the fully equip soldiers, heads back to his tent to gather his equipment for the assignment.
The soldiers offers no comment, but Jack could sense they wanted to say something to his plan of going there with just Mark. "Men, you have permission to speak freely." The soldiers salute and begin to suggest to their commander that he should let someone else go, or at the very least to form a proper squad to assist him. Jack nods his head and tells them, "As much as your advice and concern are appreciated, I have already made up my mind. Now, go tell the others that Mark and I will leave soon and follow typical procedures." The soldiers salute once more and head back to the tents just as Mark emerges once more and stands next to Jack.
"Just a few weeks ago we arrive in these lands and already we experience some really strange shit in this foreign territory." remarks Mark. Jack turns his eyes towards Kyoto before walking slowly towards the horses that they brought with them from their homeland. He mounts his stallion as Mark places his hand on the beast and says. "You know, this guy is starting to get pretty old. You're going to need to get a new ride soon." The horse then responses with a mighty nay and tosses its head towards Mark. "Alright Alright Already! It was just a joke. No need to get so upset." Jack's horse simply sneezes on Mark before walking away. "Real mature you ass." As Mark wipes some horse snot off his face he climbs onto his own horse and follows Jack. Their horses gallop towards Kyoto. ....
Jack and Mark arrive at the outer layer of the city and slow their horses down to a casual walking speed as they begin to navigate the streets. "What do you hope to discover here?" asks Mark after a while of looking around. Jack didn't answer right away but eventually he says "Locals."
-Hm…- Nikolas Physema softly grunted as his foot touched the ground. He had been travelling for about a day using his prefered method of transportation, a concave sheet of metal he removed the friction from the bottom and sent forward with a single push that lasted until the old man decided it to stop. He tiredly looked around, as not far from his position the city of Tokyo, now a ghost town, extended far and wide. For him a man born after the “Impact” this sight seemed almost unnatural, so he had to stop and watch it a bit shocked by the sheer size of the city. His destroyed town paled in comparison with the magnificence of the city.
The old man hid his belongings, at least the ones that would be too cumbersome to carry with him into this expedition and took some water and rations with him in a small patched up backpack. Nikolas advanced towards the city with resolute yet slow pace, as his prosthetic leg was stopping him from walking at a regular speed and even with the empowerment he felt after the event that destroyed his town granted him his bizarre powers, he was still an old man with a worn out body. The former leader of Physema Town got into the city from the north, walking down through the same old train line he was previously using to slide through.
He was fascinated about trains and other mechanical marvels of days gone by, as he would read about them in his books, books blasted by the explosion months ago. Nikolas thought, after hearing some rumors about Kyoto, that he might get some resources in the city, or find some hidden treasure from the past that would be easy to barter for more important stuff, but the idea of getting some books didn’t pass him, hoping that the uncultured hicks of the wasteland wouldn’t use them as bonfire fodder or worse, the isolationist cities picked them up and locked them behind walls, hiding them from their intended use, hoarding knowledge.
From his elevated position he could see what once was Lake Biwa, now surely dry after the "Impact", but he could be wrong, as all the geographical books he had weren’t in the best state. As he descended into the mysterious ancient Capital Nikolas sighed, this would be much easier he had his family alongside, but maybe one of them, as adventurous and industrious as he was would have jumped at the opportunity of getting treasure or other valuables.
-2 hours ago- Ryouga took a bite from a apple. A few days ago he was starving after running out of supplies and these two men saved his life. To repay the debt of being saved he agreed to work as a bodyguard for them while they traveled to Kyoto and while they were there. The one who seemed like the leader of the two was named Yuuto Saya. He wore a white jumpsuit and had brown hair. He was a rather nice guy who seemed to always have a somewhat haunted look on his face. The other was named Sai Yoshina. He was tall his blonde hair. He wore a suit for some reason even though the weather was uncomfortable. "Okay time to go," Yuuto said as him and Sai climbed into a large vehicle that was a cross between a buss and a tank. Ryouga not being one for close contact chose to ride on top of the vehicle and the trio took off.
-Kyoto Present- As the trio arrived Ryouga sniffed the air and picked up feint scents. He wasn't able to figure out exactly how many people were here, but he was able to tell they weren't alone. He decided that he wouldn't tell his allies about this and instead would wait to find out what kind of people these people were. Once they came to a stop the trio began searching the city in silence.

Rex and Raikou made their way to southern Kyoto surprisingly without encountering any of the rumored monsters but not anyone else either. It was an almost eerie silence with the wind coming every now and then. The duo finally reached the Romon Gate to Fushimi Inari. When they stepped within 10 feet of the gate there was suddenly a deep loud hum and a the wind suddenly picked up. "What did we do?" Rex asked. "Did we do this?" Raikou asked. Then Neo's voice was in their minds again "We have detected a spike in the metaphysical energy transmitted by the temples, shrines, and castles. As well as signal that seemed almost like a warning signal. What is going on down there?"
"Ummm.... we are near Fushimi Inari and then suddenly it just ....... I don't know...... it sounded like a machine activating almost." Rex replied.
"Well I think it's something like a trip wire. But what did it trigger?" Neo replied.
Raikou looked around and then his eyes widened. "I think I know what we triggered, the rumored monsters of Kyoto."
Suddenly monsters began showing up be it out of thin air, from the shadows, and crawling out of alleys. A large green canine monster with faces covering a good portion of its body appeared near Fushimi Inari. "Something smeeeeeeelllllssssss delicioooooouuuuuusssssss." the monster uttered slowly in a deep voice. It began sniffing around. It's gaze fell on Rex and Raikou who instinctively reached for their weapons but began backing up towards the Romon Gate. The monster turned away from them and said "It's not theeeeeemmmmmm." The scent the monster has caught is not that of Rex and Raikou but of beast possibly followed by other beasts, that was vaguely human. To the monster it was the equivalent of fried fish to a human. It was searching for Yvach. Suddenly the faces on it's body opened their mouths and their mouths began to glow. From those mouths gave destructive pulses of energy that targeted to where the monster smelled Yvach.(Prophet_of_Plague)
"Our radar have begun detecting multiple contacts, those must be your monsters." Neo said.
Rex and Raikou watched on but then as they passed backward through the gate it felt like the world changed. It was like they were falling through a misty vortex Then the world solidified and they were in a place that didn't seem to exist within the shrine. It was a like a separate realm. The found themselves under a moonlit sky despite it being day moment ago before they entered. They were standing on on stone bricked ground facing 3 tori gates they followed by a close succession of tori gates that almost formed tunnels. The top of each gate had a different symbol. One had a fox, one had the moon, and another had what looked like a bowl of rice.
Rex reached out to Neo through their symbol link "Ummmm..... Neo are we inside the shirne? The briefing didn't say we'd be seeing something like this"
There was a long pause before Neo answered "Currently analyzing collected data. But you are within the shrine."
Raikou asked a lesser important question "How are you collecting data?"
"Relating directly to you, I am doing it through the symbol link."
Rex and Raikou both nodded their heads in an "oh" fashion.
"Which gate do we choose?" Rex asked.
"Look for the one that most symbolizes Inari." Raikou suggested.
"According to old scrolls and word of mouth passed down through the generations. Inari was the goddess of rice and had foxes for messengers." Neo said.
Rex said "Well one is a bowl of rice, one has a fox, and another has the moon. Two of them symbolize Inari."
Raikou suddenly ran down gate or rather tunnel with the moon symbol. Rex had no choice but to follow.
Walking through the streets of Kyoto was a group of 3, two men and one woman. All three of them carried swords that were currently sheathed in the scabbards on their waist. A man with short black hair and an eye patch walked in the front. "Melinna amp my sensory power so I can see what's going on in this city." He said.
The woman placed one hand on her sword and her irises turned bright yellow. Then a red glow began to emanate behind the man's eyepatch. "I see this city is now crawling with beasts of all sizes and people likely out trying to get a share of the rumored treasure or here for other nefarious purposes." he said sharing his findings with the other two.
Then a lion like monster came around the corner of the street the trio were currently walking down. It leapt for the trio, then suddenly was split in two and the two halves sailed to the left and right of the group. The young man flanking the guy in front was sheathing his blade after the lion was split. "I beat you guys to it." he said. The man in front said "Keep thinking that."

Yvach paused in his tracks when bursts of light erupted from the midst of the ruins. Just before they struck, he lunged to the side, gracefully rolling to his feet. His family scattered as well, rushing every which way when the blasts erupted on the dirt, flinging up a cloud of dust. Yvach let loose a hoarse roar, and they returned to his side as he charged. Red abominations and a black cloaked man zig-zagged and rolled as the charged, making themselves frustrating targets.
Right before they got within striking range, the fetchbat hovered down right behind the beast. It was feathered like a bird, pitch black with a white line across its shoulders and down its wings, but it lacked a beak, it's face instead like a snake's with blood red eyes, cat's ears twitching on its head, spines of hair sticking off its back. Right behind the monster, it made a blood gibbon's howl to draw its attention, and in that moment the four actual gibbons charged from multiple directions. The gibbons were shaped like hairless apes with raw red skin that made them look fleshless. Their heads, however, contained deep snouts with teeth like a canine. They lashed out with their strong arms to grab the strange creature and sink their teeth into its body, letting their corrosive saliva dissolve whatever it touched. Yvach himself kept slightly back, keeping an eye on things and preparing to command as needed.
The two men on horseback continue to walk around and circle the city's outer areas, though the entire time they have explore a certain somebody could not stop talking. "Hey boss..." said Mark as carelessly examines the buildings around them out of sheer boredom as oppose to any particular interest. "I don't want to question your actions....but I'm curious....I thought our purpose for coming to Japan was to search for Allies. So why are we exploring some abandon looking city for?" Jack doesn't answer right away, as if he was playing close attention to something else. "Sure its nice and all. Looks like this place would be where we could meet some well educated and resourceful folk, with this city looking like it hasn't been touch by the fallout of the great disaster and all. But, we haven't seen a living soul since we left the camp...Hey? Are you listening to me or the vibrations in the air again?" Mark asked with a joking annoyance in his tone."I swear...sometimes I think you just pretend to ignore me.... or maybe you are actually just increasing the air pressure in your ears to block the sound of my beautiful voice out."
It takes a few more seconds later before the man with a wooden leg replies to his talkative companion in a clear cut manner, "The reason for us being here is to gather support, however; don't forgot that our main goal is the restoration of humanity. There might be countless sources of information here to assist us in the pursuit of rebuilding civilization. And the best way for you to help that goal right now would be to keep your mouth close and use your eyes and ears a bit more." Mark sighs to himself and asks more to himself than his boss, "Will you ever be able to do something without a serious attitude?" Jack looks at him for a moment, then quickly turns his face forward and offers a couple more words, "Maybe you can joke with someone in this city." Mark face turns serious and asks, "How many?" Jack turns his ear slowly around and says, "I'm not yet sure how many of them are people."
Nikolas was taking the scenic route, walking at a calm pace while looking around. He could read a bit of Japanese, not very much as even with as many books as he had it was difficult to understand and not exactly easy even if one knows how to speak it, but that small amount of vocabulary gave him a small edge in a wasteland, as he could get some clues about good places to search for treasure or information. –Hm, I think I’ll go that way, that building looks promising.- The Old Man strolled towards an old and dusty temple, still in one piece, hoping to find something inside.
-500 miles away- Hundreds of corpses laid strewn across what was once a camp. Two men stood amongst them and admired the carnage. "You took too long," One of them said giving off the air that he was in charge. He was tall with a slender frame and blonde hair. The other one was slightly taller with black hair and was wielding a bloody sword. " I apoligize, two minutes was much too long for only two hundred bandits," he apoligized as he wiped the blood off his blade and joined his master. The blonde waved him off then the two of them too off running in the direction of Kyoto. -Kyoto- The trio made their way through the streets of Kyoto till Ryouga suddenly smelled several individual on the streets. He mentioned them to his compatriots and using Sai's power they floated up to the rooftops and moved like that till they could see them. They made it in time to see them kill a lion. "So allies?" Sai asked in a whisper to Yuuto. Yuuto thought about it for a bit then shook his head and told them that they should keep following them for now.

The monster didn't need to move around to see or blast his opponents. The faces that covered its body allowed it too see target and then from all the mouths on it's body it warded off or blasted apart the blood gibbons and fetch bats before they could jump onto irs body. The monster turned it's main head to Yvach and from it's mouth it unleash a few scattershot energy beam that travel at a mach 2 at the beast. Prophet_of_Plague
The three trio of swordsman after the lion was killed, visited one of the temples that weren't transmitting an metaphysical energy along the Kyoto ley lines. The man with the eye patch and the blond waited outside while the young with long black hair rummaged around inside. The young man's voice came from within the temple "It's just as Neo predicted, there's nothing in other temples that don't transmit. We have visited three others that do transmit and couldn't get pass the force fields. Those other two he sent are inside one though so maybe it's like they have to be cleared in order. Isn't that right Sirius?"
The man with the eyepatch responded "Yes and how nice of you to share that with our guests, Kori." A red glow was coming from under the eyepatch showing Sirius was using his sensory ability. Kori came out of the temple and looked around, then he saw Sirius's eyepatch glowing and understood, Kori drew his blade out of its sheath and looked around checking every direction but below.
The woman Melina seemingly didn't make any movement. She spoke "Well whoever is hiding out there show yourself. We won't attack unless you attack first." She glared at Kori who then sheathed his own blade.

The various monsters around the green beast scattered, one blood gibbon and the fetchbat taking the hits. The blood gibbon gibbered and tumbled back, arm dangling limply. The fetchbat was annihilated, a lone wing falling to the ground in its wake. Yvach knew what was coming after the first barrage against his family, and rolled just as the blasts came flying. The shoulder of his threadbare black coat was shredded and a trail of smoke whispered off his burnt flesh.
He snarled as he grabbed the ground, stopping his roll when his fingers dug into the concrete. His blood was bad enough, but his family had been harmed as well. He barked, and the gibbons followed his lead. As one, their muscles flexed up and they ripped up chunks of the road. Using the concrete slabs as shields, the entire group charged again, another fetchbat fluttering in and diving under the strange creature to attack its throat from beneath.
The sound of steps over wooden boards echoed inside the dark room. A single beam of sunlight, like a mirage, crossed through a hole in the tiles, bathing a small area of the shrine in radiance. The dust particles floating in the air were clearly visible, spinning and turning without any pattern, slave to the wind currents coming down from the mountains in the north that caressed the wooden building, piercing into it through any hole or crack, the whistling of the wind echoing inside the temple could almost be considered musical. Nikolas stopped on his tracks admiring this strange and eerie spectacle, incapable of uttering a word, but quickly the magic of the moment passed as he started looking around.
Everything seemed to be in really good shape, polished wood was something scarce in the Wasteland and Nikolas didn’t doubt in imagining a new counter for a bar using this wood, or a refuge for animals, or so many other useful items, but lastly he sighed filled with sadness, without more capable hands he wouldn’t be able to transport it, or work it… He wished Aiolos and Kain to be here with him to help him, or Nike to assist him with the finance, or his brother Abbadon to talk as they used to do. For a moment he thought about what he was doing. He was old and alone in a ghost town, scavenging for goods and resources on his own. This was insane, this was pointless… he thought that at first, until his eyes, that were looking down at his tired feet noticed something.
A shining object, an ornate cylinder… maybe the case for an ancient scroll or a lost treasure. The Old Man kneeled down, with considerable effort and started cleaning up. Hopefully it was something important. Crouching made his back hurt. But as he commenced this laborious task he heard something far away from his position. A powerful booming noise, something he only heard once or twice in his life when individuals of supernatural strength showed up around Physema Town. The deafening bang of something breaking the sound barrier.
Jack and Mark's horses come to complete stop in front as sharp noise quickly echoes throughout the streets. The men turn their heads towards the source of the ruckus. Mark reaches for one of the pouches attach to his horse's saddle. As his hand touches one end of a small knot that holds the tiny brown sack close...."Wait." commands Jack. The man offers him a warning glance. He slowly releases the reins as he dismounts from the horse in an extremely slow manner. he carefully makes sure to place his strong foot down before placing his wooden leg on the ground. "What are you doing?" asks a confused Mark. "I'm going to go say hello to somebody, while you watch the horses." Without saying anything else, he slowly walks with an slight limb as he heads inside a tiny temple less than a hundred feet away from the horses.
Even though he takes his time and practically applies his full weight on each wooden board he steps on, his body doesn't produce a single sound that would travel far enough for someone standing a foot away to pick up. This is due to Jack's ability to manipulate the air around his feet to contain any sound waves from traveling away from his immediate location. Eventually, he finally gets his foot at the entrance of a dust cloud room with a single source of natural light coming in via the hole in the roof. He keeps his distance from the other man in the room, who he has been listening to for a while now. Jack understood that the best step to finding out more information is to encounter a single individual first as oppose to a small party. Primary because if things were too get hostile, they would at least have the number advantage. Yet, even though Jack's mental process is calculating for potential risks, he also is thinking of a using the best possible approach. People tend to be extremely aggressive in his experience when they meet someone new, especially if they believe they need to protect themselves from a danger. Hence, why he also figure that it would be in his best interests to go in by himself. He may be able to be highly intimidating when he wants to be, but usually the wooden leg tend to mislead inexperience strangers to believe he is a defenseless person. And how he is treated by someone with this false image of his capabilities is a fascinating tool that Jack implements when it comes to investigating a person's character.
He studies the old man for a while wondering if he will be able to pick up his presence, or if he notices the lack of sound that the old man should have heard when Jack walked once he realizes that he is standing at the entrance, which is a little more than 5 meters away from the old man. Perhaps he will assume in his old age along with the strong winds playing throughout the building that he simply could not hear my footsteps. Or that he was too busy focusing on whatever is in his hands to have bother to use his senses to pay attention to the world around him. Regardless, Jack decides to break away from his silence and try to strike a conversation with the man. "I must commend you Where I'm from, not many get to live to your age." said Jack. His voice didn't contain flattery, so much carry a very matter-of-fact tone.
Yuuto and Sai floated down while Ryouga jumped down without help. "Sorry to interrupt you, I am a traveling magician and due to a mixup I got stuck with these less then beautiful assistants, " Sai joked as he gestured to his traveling companions. After which Ryouga struck him hard on the head in anger. While the two chased each other around Yuuto decided to introduce himself and the others. "My name is Yuuto and the blonde is named Sai, while the one with silver hair is Ryouga. Like you probably we heard of the city and decided to investigate. We have no weapons on us before you ask so rest easy," he said and struck his hand out to offer a handshake. Sai after escaping Ryouga he moved behind the trio and started examining the swords at only a speed idiots can manage.
The monster looked down on the pitiful concrete shields the beast wielded. It fired another barrage of mach 2 lasers to obliterate the stone. Then as it charged the next volley energy spilled out of a wound in it's throat destabilizing the energy being charged within. The monster let loose a hoarse dying howl and fell on its side, then it blew up unleash a mach 2 omnidirectional wave of energy that with a radius of 5 yards which reduced everything caught within to nothing.
--------------------- Sirius approached Yuuto and accepted the handshake. "You can call me Sirius. Like you we heard of this city but unlike you were aren't merely investigating. We are doing much more and for a much greater cause." He said his eye patch still glowing red.
Sirius turned his head to look at an explosion in the distance. He didn't seem puzzled by it like he knew exactly what happened. Maybe he did know. Rebeloutlaw ----–-------------------------
The man in golden armor stood atop Nijou Castle once more or rather it was an astral projection of him. "Maybe raising the other temples despite leaving them empty was a little too distracting for some of our guest. Best to make them seek out, the 9 castles, shrines, and temples of important. Eventually that'll all lead them to one point and one place." He said seemingly to no one. Then suddenly several buildings across Kyoto including the old temple Sirius and his three men were out in front of as well as the one Jack and Nikolas were conversing in, suddenly began to shake uncontrollably and then collapsed in on themselves.

Yvach wasn't expecting the shields to hold for long, but they could buy time. The slabs turned to dust as the charged, but they were now unharmed and in range. He was surprised when it didn't matter, as the fetchbat did its job. By all logic, it was mortally injured. He whistled, and all parties retreated to hide behind any structure they could. No need to keep fighting, just stay back and let it bleed out. He peaked out to find the monster instead exploding. He ducked back just in time to avoid the cloud of dust and shrapnel, feeling little bits of concrete bounce off his coat.
Uncurling from his defensive position after a moment, he stepped back out to investigate the damage. He skirted the smouldering crater, ignoring the inside for the most part while he searched for scattered pieces of the monster. It looked like it had erased any trace of its body. Disappointing. He was hesitant to investigate the crater. He didn't know if that creature was radioactive, and there was only so much radiation he could handle. And with all the smoke, he couldn't tell how deep that hole was. It could have weakened the road too much to hold his weight. After another moment of hesitation, he leaned into the smoke and groped about for bits of bone or flesh, anything he could find.
-You shouldn’t sneak around an old man youngster. - The Old Man talked as he started turning his head around. - Is not very polite, I might die from the fright you know…- Nikolas smiled as he made a visible effort to stand up. – But thanks for the praise, I will return the courtesy congratulating you for the stealth of your step, even when you and I. *CLANG CLANG*- The Former Mayor of Physema town hit his metallic leg with his cane. –Share the same affliction.- Nikolas, without any ill intent threw the ornate cylinder he fetched from the ground, as it flew the scroll inside popped out and turned into dust. –You should find a way of vanishing as well, or anybody with some experience can catch you right now.-
The ornate cylinder, even if a bit worn out was still polished and metallic, enough to allow the Old Man to see the reflection of Jack coming behind him. –You can keep that, I was more interested in the scroll than the gold, not that gold is of very much use at the moment…- Nikolas joked about it, as he knew that before the Impact gold was a very precious metal, but in the Wasteland the things that helped you survive another day were the ones with true value. –So, are we going to have any trouble here, I’m just a humble scaven… HRG!- Nikolas stopped speaking as he heard the creaking of the wood above him.
The Old Man has some experience with collapsing buildings, his middle son Kain had made quite a few of those when he was just starting his duties and after being in half a dozen buildings falling apart one learns to see the signs. –Let’s finish this talk outside youngster!- Nikolas shouted as he made an effort to launch himself forward, and as he landed he removed the friction from the ground, allowing him to slip outside the building through the main gate, rolling on the ground as he crash landed. He also removed the friction from the floor outside to lower the amount of scratches he might end up but still he had a couple of small wounds appearing over his wrinkly and leathery skin. He stopped moving when he reached a half destroyed stone lantern and ended up in a rather comfortable position, with his back perfectly aligned on the stone lantern angle. –I don’t know what happened there, but that wasn’t natural at all.- He thought out loud as he looked at the collapsed Temple.
Jack was prepare to exchange some more words with the elderly man, yet before he had a chance, the temple suddenly undergoes its own unique earthquake event. The unexpected situation however does not worry the experience military veteran. He look above to spot the ceiling tiles cracking apart and various pieces sizes begin to rain down in the room. Soon enough entire tiles begin to fall down along with the walls and the floor splitting violently apart, creating huge cracks throughout the entire structure. As the old man slides past him, he simply turns his head slightly to witness the his escape as the building's foundations are destroyed under the pressure. Interesting.... I wonder what is his gift. The whole building collapses while he still remains inside, but he doesn't even express single hint of emotion. He knew already that he would not able to move his body fast enough to get away due to his wooden leg, nor does he wish to take to the air. Instead he raises his right hand and the air begins to swirl violently around him, forming a powerful sphere surrounding his body. His technique was way too small or grand to be refer to as a hurricane or tornado, but even those natural disasters would be jealous at the velocity of the wind gusts that he was manipulating around him.
Outside the temple, Mark pets his own horse as he stares at Jack's horse, while speaking to his ride, "Hey, do you think there is someway I can be friends with Troy?" His horse shakes his head. "Yeah, I figure you would say that." Then suddenly he hears a a rumbling noise and looks up to see the last moments of the temple. "Shit! You don't see that everyday." Offering a gentle kick, the horse moves leisurely forward as Troy follows behind. They get close to the old man and he says, "Guessing by your exit, I'm going to assume that your not the cause for that sudden collapse, correct?" He finished his sentence by pointing towards the temple ruins. Mark keeps his attention on the man for a while, trying to come up with a plan of action to due. As he rubs his chin he eventually sighs and says nonchalantly, "Jeez. Hey boss, what I'm I suppose to do with this guy?"
At the center of the ruins, stood piles of debris staking anyway from 2 to 5 meters tall, but there was not a visible piece of the rubble around a pondering Jack within a two meter radius. The strong wind shield he summoned had already been dispelled by the time Nikolas had reach the lamp post. Soon enough, he moves away from the free space of the detritus and gradually maneuvers through the remains of the temple. After taking more than a minute to remove himself from the wreckage, he finally reaches Mark and the senior. As if the building incident was nothing more than a somewhat annoying fly, he continues the conversation in such a manner that it was clear that the collapse did not cause him much concern, but it did raise some questions for his mind to think about. "You haven't lost the horses. Good job." he said with a phlegmatic tone. Then he turns his head to address Nikolas, "What I want is not the gold, nor to be hidden, at least not from someone like you. Yet, I do want something from you" Jack walks closer to the old man with a strong, yet steady pace. Each step he took seem to be slightly more powerful, while slower than the last. Eventually, he stands within arm's reach and looks right into the old man's eyes. Without a hint of hostility or friendliness, he offers his hand for a proper handshake, "Jack Dalton."
Yuuto nodded at Sirius and gave a friendly smile. He was about to speak when the building they were outside of collapsed. He immediately turned to Sai to find out a answer. "Well apparently according to the seismic activity multiple buildings collapsed with no known caused. Also there appears to be a battle going on not far," he said finally showing some amount of seriousness for once.
While Yuuto thought about that Ryouga spoke up,"battle means people, people means loot."
Yuuto glanced at Ryouga and shook his head and told him there was no point in starting pointless fights. He then turned to the trio. "Well there is a battle going on and those buildings did not just fall on their on. So I suggest we team up for the time being as a safety precaution," he suggested even as Ryouga took off running towards the explosions.
-Explosions- Ryouga started running through the streets of Kyoto as he strained his senses to track his target. He finally came to the source of the explosions and gave a loud whistle. "While you sure made a mess here," he said to the man as he casually started to stroll towards him. The man reeked of monsters which intrigued him and he did see plenty of monsters scattered about or even pieces of them in some cases.
