Kou and Rex watched as Yuuto and Sai finished off the golems and corpses. They watched the golem blow apart from their torso outward and the corpses get beheaded and go limp. After watching the display Rex and Raikou turned around to the door. "Come on let's move on to the next room." Rex said as he and Raikou placed their hands on the door and push them open.
They revealed a golden dome arena like room. Standing on a slightly elevated circular platform was a wolf like man with a spear waiting for them. He was sitting on the ground cross legged with his spear across his lap. "It seems someone has come to claim the treasure of the Inari Shrine, well you have to get passed me first. But you'll have your hands full just trying to stay alive." He said his voice full of malice and in a taunting tone. He stood up and twirled his spear around a bit. "But by the slim chance you survive you can go to the room beyond and don't even try to make a break for it, that door won't open unless I am dead or I allow it to open." He finished assuming his battle stance.
Outside the temple released a wave of energy that resonated throughout the city. Sirius wandered directly into a very noticeable point within Mark's field of view when he scanned the area. He simply beckoned for Mark to come down towards him and then he was gone as Mark offered the binoculars to another.

The scent in Ryouga's nostrils was an acrid one, sour like lemons and foul like putrefied flesh. It was the same from Yvach and the blood gibbons, with only the musk of an alpha distinguishing the potentially human one. He fell into a crouch and looked the way Ryouga indicated with his gaze and saw nothing. He clucked and the fetchbat flew off to scout. Turning away, he scrambled in the dust, scrabbling at the ground in a search for anything that lay hidden by time. Coins, potsherds, blades. Anything he could get his hands on.
-Oh, don’t mind me, my eyes wouldn’t benefit much from the binoculars, if I was younger I might have been able to use it, but as you see. - He waved over his own body. –Time did a number on me, still I thank your offer, but as I said I think is best for you to keep a lookout, my old eyes would miss important information, so I’ll trust what your younger eyes can see. - Nikolas tried to be logical. He knew that his eyesight was compromised and using the binoculars alongside his glasses always gave him a headache, it was good having younger help once again. This for a moment made him remember his family, but he quickly dispelled the nostalgic memories as he didn’t have time to reminiscence about the past.
-We can’t be too judgmental with them, maybe they are scavengers like me or explorers like you are.- Nikolas weighed his the possibilities and finally added. –I think we should try talking to them man to man, as many conflicts in the wasteland start thanks to miscommunication rather a real issue.- The Old Man stood tall and decided to offer himself as envoy. –I’ll go there and talk to them, I think we could avoid any unnecessary conflict and maybe they might have more up to date information, the kind you are searching, or at least local one, as I always moved way up north. – He looked at Jack. –Do you think you can cover me if anything wrong happens?-
Jack notices his companion staring in the distance as he replies to Nikolas, "Very well." He makes sure to trap their sounds as to protect every word between them from reaching someone besides them three. Then he covers over his mouth as to avoid lip reading as well, then he issues a command: "Mark, you will stay here and provide support if needed. Meanwhile I'll go with Mr. Physema to discuss with the individuals by the temple. If everything is fine, I will give the okay signal. And if things turn ugly, make sure to provide assistance for our escape." "Escape?"asked Mark in disbelieve, while also covering his mouth. "Yes." Jack firmly confirms. "We don't need to risk ourselves by engaging unknown individuals in combat." Scratching his head at his commander's plan, he begins to wonder why he wouldn't just use his power to communicate with them from here if he wants to avoid potential conflict. And as if Jack is able to read his mind, "We have to check to see if they could be a benefit to our crusade here. To that extent, we are going to need to interact with them face to face. That why we can better comprehend them." said Jack in a straightforward manner. "Besides, I agree with Mr. Physema. If we try to avoid them now, that might create a misunderstand and that misunderstanding can lead to an unwanted outcome."
Jack prepares his horse to travel down a path leading into a street that extends to the confines of the temple, yet before he goes he motions an open hand towards Mark and says, "Give me two of your bags." Without a remark, Mark tosses two of his hand size pouches and he catches it. He nods his head and heads towards the temple. On the way to the temple he begins to talk to the old man ,while he continues to guard his lips and the sounds that they make from being heard from others, "If things go wrong, I want you to make sure you have this on your person." He offers Mark's pouches. "I trust that your able to handle yourself, but one can never have enough resources of safeguard. Should the old man look inside the small pouch, he will only see a small collection of black ashes contain inside the old leather.
-The Temple-Fleet Admiral Yuuto examined the man and the creature and decied reasoning might be the best option since he appeared sentient. "Hello,me and my friends here mean you no harm. As you can see there are four of us here who all know how to handle ourselves. Lets say you beat us then you will be weakened when you face any other intruders. Wouldn't it be much simpler to let us in. I do not desire the treasure but am more interested in why this city suddenly appeared anyway," he reasoned while keeping his eyes strong and unwavering. While this was going on Sai had began the preparation to create a wind shield for if Yuuto's plan failed.
-Outside-Prophet_of_Plaguewaybig1010101OldManMeteor Ryouga closed his eyes and waited. He was starting to get bored. This monster man wasn't anything like you would expect from his appearance so it was disheartening dealing with it. He kept sniffing the air however and waited for those people to show up. Once he caught their scent closer he opened his eyes and stared in their direction. "Look alive, we got company coming," he told Yvach and cracked his neck a couple of times to get ready for a fight if needed.
"You either look sincere or possesses skill at fooling others. If you seek the secret of this city's appearance then you'll not find it here nor at this time. Only those who prove worthy in combat with me, may enter the Treasure Room and only one group may enter the Treasure Room for the treasure belongs to them and is up to them to defend it." The guardian responded stabbing his staff into the ground shaking it.
Kou and Rex readied themselves to fight seeing no other way around a fight. "Hey umm... Sai maybe you should regroup with us doesn't seem like words will get us through this one." Rex said. The guardian sounded pleased "Yes prepare for battle and bare your fangs."
Sirius spectated the meeting between four individuals with one followed by beasts from a safe far distance with the aid of Melina's power. Kori stood guard while they were doing this. "I wonder if the rest of the Ronin Knights are having fun out there slaying those monsters roaming around. But are they staying hidden or alive?" He said without looking at Sirius. "I am sure they're having fun while staying hidden we're an elite group of swordsmen not fodder, you're the newest among us so you don't quite understand yet. But you will eventually and so will these other seekers in the city." Sirius explained.

Yvach grinned under his hood. Unobservant. Good. He chirped and the fetchbat flew back. It whispered noises of the sand into his ears instead of any useful speech. He glowered at it and scuttled to the side to peer around Ryouga, but let him remain in front just in case they happened to be hostile. He pocketed the coin he had found in the dust. Too bad that was all he could get. He didn't know anything about this place, and some scraps could tell him more.
Nikolas advanced with firm yet slow steps, he didn’t want to showcase his powers unless it was necessary. He didn’t like the look of the people, on looked like an animal and the other like a criminal, those were the ones who seemed to be the strongest, something easy to gauge from their posture and expression. The old man lifted his hand in greeting to them, hoping that they weren’t hostile. –Good day to you, my name is Nikolas, I’m a humble scavenger and trader who heard rumors of this mysterious city and came here to gather supplies and goods, I don’t have any ill intentions against you.- Nikolas looked around and found a tall boulder, sitting on it to rest his legs.
-Sorry, my legs aren’t as strong as they were on my youth.- He could have stayed up, but playing the old man card could help him to either soften them up or make them underestimate him, also he kept a safe distance from them. –If you desire we could exchange information to help each other. Is that appropriate for your gentlemen? If not I will leave through where I came and there will be no conflict between us, we need to stick together or at least don’t trip each other to survive, right?- Nikolas hoped they were receptive, he wasn’t in the mood for a fight, but at least having Jack nearby was giving him some degree of safety.
Once they reach the two strangers, Jack removes himself off his horse slowly. Even though he was calm, he couldn't do anything to help his horse's nerves. His long time companion is restless upon being so close to the gruesome imps that are scatter around the area, who he could only believe that their master was the fellow with the inhuman like characteristics to his behavior and appearance. However, the existence of this person did not register as strange to the veteran soldier. From where he is from, there have been a few handful of gifted individuals with unique features that separate them from everyone else, which some of them involve their physical bodies. He had the honor of fighting with some of those people, as well as having memories of fighting against them.
Jack remains stone face about the little monsters and the situation in general. Nothing in his face gave away any type of aggressive intention, rather it was more like staring at a mountain: Strong and Silent. He slaps his ride on it's back leg and the beast turns around to gallop back to Mark. His eyes move towards the person who gave him the signal to meet. He seem to be prepare for a fight, yet he didn't seem to be attempting to create conflict, at least for now. Jack listens to Nikolas' words. He couldn't help but be impressive by his actions, of course not a single muscle moves a single millimeter on his face, but in his mind he could imagine that Nikolas could be one hell of a solider. He does not bother say one word, but maintains his silence and his guard. He plan to let the old man handle verbal communication for now, until he can figure out these two a little better by hearing them out first.
Fleet AdmiralProphet_of_PlagueOldManMeteorwaybig1010101 -The Shrine- Yuuto sighed as his plan to avoid senseless violence failed. "Why can't people just get along," he whispered to himself as he got into a fighting stance. Sai on the other hand had formed a giant ball of fire and tossed it at the gatekeeper. -Outside the Shrine- Ryouga examined the approaching people as they arrived and the older looking one introduced himself and pretended to be weak. He was a bit skeptical over the act due to the fact the man was alive in this environment. Still two old people on top of this monster man wasn't really what he had in mind. "Information hmmmm, well there are a few idiots in that shrine," he said and motioned to the shrine they were in front of. "More idiots over...." he began to say when a flash of light raced past him and a cut appeared on his face as a man in all black and long black hair appeared sheathing his sword. "Interesting I thought you would be able to handle that based on the information provided on your rampages, " he said calmly as he turned to face the group. Ryouga turned around and glared at his attacker. "I suggest you three idiots join the idiots in the shrine cause this is about to get messy," he yelled as the ground underneath him cracked and he charged at Shinji who grabbed his fist casually and threw him several streets away. "I suggest you listen to him. You are not my target and getting in my way will only be suicidal," he said then moved at to catch up with Ryouga before any of the others could react to him. -Outside Kyoto- Emperor Kai Minamoto closed his eyes and watched the fight between Shinji and Ryouga. As the fight progressed Shinji lowered his power to match Ryouga's as to perfectly judge his ability.

Raikou seeing the fireball go flying shot a lightning bolt at the fireball right before it reach the Gatekeeper to create an explosion as a diversion. Rex followed up with Slash Quake as the Gatekeeper dropped back from the smoke cloud, the quake collided with Gatekeeper's spear and he deflected it seemingly without too much trouble. "I applaud your first strategy distract and attack at the same time. Basic but your application of it may get you past me." The Gatekeeper said.
Rex used Fading Dragon to appear behind the Gatekeeper while Kou charged straight forward. Rex swung his sword and it was parried by the shaft of the Gatekeeper's spear and then felt the butt of the spear hit him in the gut. The Gatekeeper having temporarily disabled Rex fended of Kou's lightning infused blades with his spear. He felt himself shocked by Kou's lightning and then began to infuse his spear with energy to cancel out the lightning so it wouldn't stream onto his spear and electrocute him further. The Gatekeeper feinted and kicked Kou away a few feet, his gaze falling upon Sai.
-Mr. Dalton, I think I’m going to take my leave.- Nikolas whispered to Jack as he started standing up. He was too sly too stay in this clusterfuck about to happen and too cunning to think he could beat enemies that moved fast enough to vanish from his sight. –I think it will be better for me to explore to the North of the City, I saw a couple of interesting temples beyond the city limits that don’t only seem like a better place to look for what I’m searching and as well they seem to be...- He glanced at the battle raging so dangerously close to them. – Safer. - He finished the sentence with an even lower tone, clearly a sign of his nerves surfacing. Many people thought he was strong for having survived so long in the Wasteland. They were wrong, strength gets you out a couple battles, but the greatest asset in a world in ruins isn’t might, but wits.
You can lift a building, you can take damage from old engines of war, you can outrun sound itself, but no matter how fast you ran you always have your intelligence, or lack of it with you. So the smart man, the man who survives in the man who knows when to quit, while the man who dies faster is the one who flaunts power and authority over others thinking they rule over their fellow man. Idiocy was the deadliest plague in humanity and Nikolas vaccinated himself long time ago, thanks to measured thoughts, clever planning and correct decision. –I hope we can meet again Mr. Dalton… is there a way to contact you?-

Yvach was working on binding his wounded comrade's injured arm when the new possible comrades came into view. He smiled beneath his hood and stood to walk over to them. "I am Yvach." An old man and a younger one, both crippled. These were the true soldiers. His eyes greedily drank in the wooden and steel leg, delighting in their parallel. They were the true survivors. The ones who lived on knowledge because they could not on power. He wanted everything they had. If they could see his eyes, they would see a wild and fierce longing.
"What brings you here? Where are you from? How do you survive deformed? Are there others with you? Are you nomadic or sedentary? What sort of monsters have you seen, can you grow crops, do you have animals, do you have children?" He stepped closer and closer, uncomfortably so soon. Dalton could smell the scent on his skin, like copious blood mixed with something so sour it invaded the throat and crept past the molars. He let his hood fall away to stare right into Dalton's eyes, his own flaring with passion.
Jack looks towards the old man without a hint of surprise about his desire to leave and reaches inside his inner cloak to pull out a heavy walkie talkie. "This should work just fine. Whenever you want to communicate with me, just use this machine." he said as he hands over the device. "Make sure you stay safe out there Mr.Physema. When I am done here, I expect we will meet again. When we do, I'll like to learn more about this part of the world, as well as propose a mutually beneficial deal between the two of us. Hear what I have to say and I doubt you will be disappointed with the proposition." And I would like to learn more about you as well, he thought to himself.
He then turns to face the approaching master of beasts. His scent seem to be a collection of the most vicious odors of the wasteland combine. His questions come across as dangerous to him. No one was so openly blunt about asking for what he can take from him before. He didn't trust him at all. Yet, that didn't mean he couldn't be useful if he handles this situation carefully. But he knew from experience, that dealing with this individual will be a risky game indeed. "Jack Dalton." he said. Only giving the fellow his name and answering nothing else. "If you don't care for the fellow that got attacked just now, would you be up for exploring that temple with me?" he asks in a straightforward manner as he calculates his next moves.
Fleet AdmiralProphet_of_Plaguewaybig1010101 -The Shrine- Sai steadied himself as the beast took on the two men. He wasn't prepared to have to go all out yet. He pointed his right index finger at the Guardian and shot a blast of pressurized wind out like a bullet. Yuuto on the other hand jumped back from the battle to try to find a weakness. -Streets of Kyoto- The two warriors exchanged blows as they raced across the rooftops. Though it looked like the battle was even closer inspection showed Shinji was completely unharmed while Ryouga was covered in bruises and scratches. Ryouga shot several small energy blasts from his hands in rapid succession which Shinji deflected into the sky. "Surrender you can not beat me," Shinjj said stopping the fight as Ryouga panted trying to catch his breath. Ryouga responded by charging and finally landing a lucky blow to his face. Shinji pushed Ryouga away and put a finger to the corner of his mouth and pulled it away and looked at it and saw Ryouga had drawn blood. He charged at him and before Ryouga could react punched him in the stomach and as Ryouga spit out blood and was trying to catch his breath he delivered a kick to the side of his face that sent him flying to the other side of the city where Shinji ran after him.

The Guardian twirled his spear to to deflect the wind bullet but found a bolt of lightning striking him in one of his shoulder blades from a downed Kou. Rex saw one of the other two guys were spending time analyzing the Gatekeeper so he figured they just got to keep the Gatekeeper busy. Rex played his role in this distraction with a frontal assault against the Gatekeeper. Raikou himself rose to his feet and supported Rex with a lightning bolt here and there doing what they can to keep the Gatekeeper's focus off of Yuuto. Meanwhile outside the shrine large monsters began to enter the area looking for some unlucky visitor to devour. They seem to head toward Jack and Yvach all with the same goal in mind. It seemed as though they had the pair surrounded. Then the monster in the front was suddenly split in two, its assailant was wrapped in a long black cloak but three protrusions in that cloak seemed to be the ends of a scabbard. The cloaked figure was then out of view as quick as he was in view. Similar occurrences happened to several other monsters nearby all seemingly cut by figures in black cloaks. These were the Ronin Knights though in disguise. waybig1010101 @Prophet_of_Plague

"Hm?" He glanced at where Ryouga had gone. No, he would not interfere. The fool was doing exactly what he was there for- keeping the problems off of Yvach. He turned a glare back at Jack, annoyed that his questions weren't answered, leaving his desire for knowledge unfulfilled. "Down." He dropped when the monsters appeared in his field of vision, but the group was seen anyway.
Yvach rolled for the temple entryway, followed by his blood gibbons. He didn't see the swords cutting through the beasts, just heard their bodies dropping with force that shook the walls of the temple. He paused inside to finish binding the wounded arm of his comrade and stood. Might as well explore now.
Jack didn't seem surprise by the monsters, he heard them coming a few moments ago, hence his direct question to Yvach to explore the temple right away. He wanted to avoid conflict if possible, but even he was surprise by the sheer speed of the creatures to arrive at their location as quickly as they did. Still, the only action he performs when being surrounded by vicious monsters, is a quick hand gesture to inform Mark to not engage and remain at his position.
There were a few reasons he wanted Mark to remain inactive, mostly because if he doesn't come back from whatever experience lay waiting for him inside the temple, someone would need to head back to headquarters. Thankfully he didn't need to bother fighting the monsters as a bunch of strong individuals cover in black cloaks begin to tear through the monsters. Seeing that they are capable of dealing with this situation, he figure he will just let them handle it. He walks casually into the temple in utter silence as the sound of slaughter echos throughout the street.
Inside, he stares at the man called Yvach as he perform first-aid to his comrade. He doesn't say any words to him as he wish to avoid distracting him from his task. When the binding was over and Yvach stood up, Jack still offers him no words. He simple turns his head to face whatever waited for them inside, while still keeping his guard up in case Yvach tries to pull something. It would be foolish to lower one's guard around this individual he thought.
Fleet AdmiralProphet_of_Plaguewaybig1010101 -Kyoto- Ryouga stood panting in the middle of a wrecked street. His left arm hung bloody and limp at his side. "You ain't so tough," he stammered out as Shinji calmly walked over to him and batted away a weak punch. He lifted him up by the shirt and held him in the air. Ryouga definitely spat blood in his face where Shinji retaliated by slamming him down on the ground. "This would have been so much simpler if you were capable of perceiving the difference in strength between the two of us. Ryouga busted out in a grin and kicked Shinji with what little power he had left and caught him off guard mostly. Shinji was able to grab Ryouga and bring him with him. They landed in front of the shrine they started at. Ryouga barely conscious and unable to move was forced to submit to Shinji who decided to wait as he had one final task to complete regarding one of the beings inside the shrine. -Inside the Shrine- Yuuto placed his palm on the wall to check the material then called for Sai's attention. Sai realizing the plan crouched down and placed his palms on the ground. "Everybody get to me!" He yelled and Yuuto made it there as fast as possible. Once Yuuto made it too him he caused the stone to turn into spikes from the walls, roof, and floor to skewer the gatekeeper. The only place safe was a small area around him and his allies. He breathed several times heavily and waited to see if the plan worked as if it didn't he was going to have to take a small break from fighting for a bit to recover his stamina.
Jack and Yvach would find themselves facing three tunnel like successions of Tori Gates. The front gate of each tunnel bears a symbol; one has a fox, one has a bowl of rice, and the last had a moon on it. One tunnel leads to vicious monster, one leads to array of traps, and another leaves a safe passage to the next obstacle which would be a circular room with 8 foot fox headed golems of metal with giant swords waiting for them. After that comes a field where they will encounter zombified farmers wielding scythes with a thirst for the blood of the living. Then they'll got through a few halls to reach the room of the Guardian.
Inside the room of the Guardian, Rex and Raikou quickly regroup with Yuuto and Sai before he turned just about all the stone in the room to spikes. The Guardian was stopped dead in his tracks, the spikes didn't appear to go deep but his skin and armor was riddled with holes even if just surface wounds they still looked nasty and oozed blood. The Guardian then with his energy infused spear unleash a shockwave blowing away the spikes into jagged pebbles and it would clear his wounds were already beginning to heal. He started to radiate the deadly almost visible bloodlust.
"Nice job man, you got I think may we just got to keep at him and he'll get tired or give up." Raikou said to Sai. Though a bead of sweat fell off his face as the bloodlust hit him. Rex didn't seem as bothered by the bloodlust but still was sweating, must be due to his dragon portion. It was clear the group at its current strength may not win, it'll take another with a helpful ability to for them to overwhelm this Guardian.
