Melinna and Kori moved away from the temple as it collapsed kicking up a cloud of dust. Sirius then replied to Yuuto "Okay, I shall trust you for now. Don't make me regret it." Sirius's eye patch glew brighter on that last part. "In that direction I do believe there's not just those explosions but Fushimi Inari. We should check it out together." Sirius suggested. Rebeloutlaw -------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Rex and Kou were currently trading blows with a strange monster. It used seaweed to fight but it was no ordinary seaweed. The monster seems to augment and control the seaweed with the power contained in its crystal portions. They were combating this creature within a stone courtyard that was at the end of the Tori gate path they walked through.
"Damn it's like we're making no progress." Raikou said.
"We have to change tactics, we can't just try to overwhelm its senses we have to get through them.": Rex explained.
Rex suddenly charged the creature head on, the creature responded by producing more razor sharp energized seaweed tentacles to skewer Rex. " Fading Dragon! " Rex said as he used his technique to rapidly produce after images to distract the creature while Raikou fired a bolt of lightning at the creatures back. The smell of burned plant life filled the courtyard as the creature lurched forward. What would be it's right shoulder blade has been hit and burned a decent sized crater in it. But Kou could see the crater slowly begin to heal. This was going to take some time.

Yvach immediately whistled himself in response to Ryouga's noise, and his blood gibbons regrouped by his side. He turned to look at Ryouga, face covered by his thick hood. Only his hands were visible, unkempt talons sticking from scarred flesh. "Who are you?" His gravelly voice leaked genuine interest. Another treasure seeker? Could be useful. They'd likely want the useless shiny things, leaving him his books.
Nikolas looked at the young man talking to him with a confused glance, he was a bit dazed from the impact and his vision was a bit blurry but he managed to see Jack’s response to the collapsing building. He wondered if the man with the wooden leg was an individual capable of creating gusts of wind, as he already saw one before, way back when he arrived to what once used to be called Japan. Still it wasn’t time to wander in the past, but to survive in the present. With considerable effort he started to stand up, but he was still a bit too dizzy to do it without help. As he did Jack approached him, and Nikolas started thinking what to do. His power was useful mostly if he could move and he really didn’t want to fight.
Thankfully Jack’s intention seemed to be innocent enough and the old man accepted the help to get up. –Thanks Mr. Dalton, my name is Nikolas Physema, I’m a wandering traveler.- Nikolas looks around the city. –I heard rumors of this city and couldn’t avoid checking it out, who knows what kind of treasures and goods this enigma holds inside.- First rule of encounter in the Wasteland, never speak from ideals, morals or dreams, people tend to believe and empathize more with economical or even selfish objectives than idealistic pursuits.
Jack nods his head, "Now, Mr. Physema. You had just told me your reason for coming here, so allow me to inform you the reason for my companion and myself's presence in this city." Mark just offers a small hand gesture as he was mention. "First, we were unaware of the existence of any legends surroundings this place. We thought that there would be signs of a sophisticated community here, Yet, we soon realize that was not the case. You see, we are not around here. In fact we come from a land that is across the vast ocean." Mark massages himself as he says, "Man was that a terrible voyage." Jack turns to his subordinate with a stern look before he continues, "And since we are not around here and you seem to be quite knowledge about the area, I was wondering if we can work out a mutual deal. You see, we didn't just come here primarily for a meeting between a stable society, we also wish to learn more about these lands. For instance, if there any notable fractions, locations, the safest routes, maps, and among other things. Essentially, I want to know more about Japan. And in return, we can help you savage and search this city. We can split our findiings evenly between ourselves. 50% for us, and 50% for you. Plus anything you instance on keeping, will be yours. Sound good?"
-with Yvach- Prophet_of_Plague Ryouga gave a arrogant grin and looked at the man. "The name's Ryouga. Though what's with the hood. Can't I see your pretty face," he said mockingly as he gave a laugh. The monsters did pique his interest so he wasn't going to kill the man yet.
-outside the fallen building-Fleet Admiral After Sirius suggested they check out the explosions in a different direction then the way Ryouga headed he thought for a second about the suggestion. "Sure Ryouga can handle himself so why do we head off in the direction you suggested," he said then him and Sai took off running in the suggested direction of the temple.
Sirius and his two comrades followed after Yuuto and Sai running just behind them and looking quite casual while they were at it. "Melinna amplify my eye." Sirius ordered. Sirius's eye glowed brighter as he used it to check what's going on in the city identifying several subjects and several potential obstacles. But he said nothing as they weren't immediate problem. The eyepatch light faded after as they neared the gate to Fushimi Inari. Sirius, Melinna, and Kori stopped at its gates. Sirius said to Yuuto and Sai. "Two of our allies are in there right now. So there's no need for the three of us to enter. But you two can enter if it'll further your goals here." Rebeloutlaw
"Maybe we should target the crystals, maybe hitting them will cause them to blow up or something." Rex suggested after a few more minutes of battling the monster. Raikou immediately jump to targeting the crystals on it's arms with his lightning bolts while Rex between Fading Dragons used Quake to send slash projections and shockwaves at the crystals. The monster didn't catch on in time as all the crystal on its right arm blew up taking the whole arm with them and throwing the beast of balance.
Rex saw this as his chance, he used Fading Dragon to close the distance with the monster and then jumped over it and inverted his sword. His feet met the top of the monster's humongous head as he stabbed his sword into its head as it stabbing the sword into the ground. This caused monster to drop to its knees. Raikou then stabbed the monster through its eyes with his two swords. As the monster began to show signs of possibly exploding, Rex and Kou pulled away to safe distance and let it blow showering them with bits of seaweed.
"Let's move on we wasted quite a bit of time on this monster." Rex said.
"Already ahead of you." Raikou said as he made for a passage that lead deeper into what would be the shrine.

Yvach looked the man over. Long silver hair. Eyes that reminded him of the sea. Clothing that stood out like the sun in the wastelands and didn't look like they could conceal a weapon anywhere. Cocky grin. The man was an idiot. Therefore he was powerful. Had to be to survive out here. Yvach's hands went to his hood and flipped it down. His face was covered in mottled red flesh, wrinkled and tough from healed acid burns. Black hair hung shaggy over his face, yellow eyes peering out of deep sockets with no emotion. "You're here for the treasure." Speaking revealed bright white teeth behind thin lips.
-I could be of help with that, I might be one of the few with some proper knowledge about the geography, I used to be a book collector and the information is safely stored in my mind… even if my books aren’t safe anymore. - Nikolas face showed a wide spectrum of emotions and meanings, from understanding, to wisdom, to nostalgia and finally sadness, as he spoke. –I don’t know how up to date my information is, but I’ll gladly share anything you deem useful in exchange of your collaboration with my scavenging, even the division of valuables seems fine to me.- But the Oldest Physema added a single condition as he extended his hand. –The only thing I ask is getting priority in books, unless they contain information useful to you and your friend.-
The Old Man extended his hand to seal the deal, hoping that this alliance would help him survive what seemed a much more dangerous place that was he was told in the rumors from nearby settlements and groups.
He grips the old man's hand in a strong embrace and nods head in agreement with the deal between them. Jack never would have imagine that the first person he would meet here would have been the exact type of individual he needed to find. His luck ain't been this fortune in quite a while. "We don't have an extra horse with us, but considering your method of escape for the building collapse, means of transportation ain't going to be an issue." He climbs back onto his horse and pets the beast's head.
"Besides us, there are other parties within this city, though I had lost a few people already just a few minutes ago. They didn't leave the city through the natural borders. It was as if they had just suddenly disappeared from my senses. I'm curious to investigate the reasoning behind the disappearances." Mark coughs a bit before saying, "Permission to speak freely?" Jack nods his head. "Boss? Why do you want to visit an area where people vanish from? I don't know...one would think maybe we should instead avoid such places due to the risk of being taken away by some terrifying monster, or an ancient curse, or what else inhabits this weird land. I say we just go search and discover without exploring the mysterious disappearances of random strangers." said Mark. He looks at his companion for a second, then turns to the old man after seeing his commander about to deny his suggestion. "How about this boss, we have good old Nick over here decide the plan." Jack takes a moment to think about his next decision and he eventually says, "Mr. Physema what do you think we should do?"
-300 miles away- The two men kept running till a explosive aimed at their feet caused them to dodge. The two calmly looked around and set their eyes on a group of 50 bandits. The black haired swordsmen was moving to draw his blade when his blonde companion stopped him. "Still your hand Shinji I wish to test these people," he said coldly which upon hearing would send a chill down a normal person's spine. "Yes, Lord Kai," he said as he removed his hand from his sword and stepped back to allow the blonde to complete his task. The bandit leader opened his mouth to say a demand or maybe a threat however before he could get one word out the life vanished from his eyes as a ball of white energy shot out of him and flew into Kai. The Bandit Leader fell down dead and his underlings took a step back in fear. "Hmm I see he lack willpower just like all the ones before," he said to himself then casually he walked up to the bandits who were frozen in fear and began examining them. "Hmmm a sorry lot. Almost not worth kill," the rest of the bandits got the same treatment as their leader as a white light shot out from them and flew into him and fell dead. "Almost," he remarked then turned to Shinji and motioned that they need to keep moving. -with Yvach-Prophet_of_Plague Ryouga looked over the man's face. The dude looked like he was over cooked in a fire pit. He had seen much worse when his merchant group was killed though he had to admit the dude probably might have even been past what she could heal. "Sooooo, did your mom give you a bath in acid or something?" he asked then decided to answer the thing the mam said, "theirs treasure? I was simply separated from my companions and were looking for them." He decided to lie a bit just to play around. This man had obviously seen some stuff judging by his appearance and knew how to handle himself based on the destruction and his company. -The Temple-Fleet Admiral Yuuto nodded at Sirius and then he and Sai took off running into the temple. Once they were out of site Sai summoned a ball of wind that engulfed them and then using the ball the two flew through the temple as fast as safely as possible. Once they saw two people up ahead they dropped the wind and landed then ran the rest of the way. They appoached the two and then Yuuto spoke,"Hello my name is Yuuto and this is my associate Sai. Your allies outside said we would be able to find you in here." He struck out a friendly to shake as he waited for the two's response.
As soon as Yuuto and Sai were gone, Sirius contacted Neo via the symbol link. "You should tell those two guys you sent that they have possibly friendly company coming."Sirius said telepathically. "Now my squad is moving on to the next objective." Neo's voice said inside of Sirius's head "Understood, I'll give the boys the heads up." Sirius and his two henchmen then disappeared from the front of Fushimi Inari.
Rex and Kou were walking down a large hallway with opaque tiles on the floor and the walls were lined with pictures of foxes and rice. Some of those images looked joyous and others looked malevolent, sort of befitting a Nature goddess.
Neo's voice spoke into their minds "Heads up, you got two possible allies coming towards you two. Try not to ask too many questions and don't answer too many questions. You'll know them when you see them. Too busy to talk more than this, Neo out."
Rex and Raikou stopped walking and turned around waiting. Before too long they saw two others emerge into the hallway and introduce themselves. The word "allies" struck them a little odd being they thought they came here by themselves but that was probably one of the questions Neo didn't want them to ask. Rex walked forward towards Yuuto and shook his hand. "I am Rex and that guy back there is Kou. You seem friendly enough and if our comrades sent you then you should be alright." Rex said.
Then he saw a bolt of lightning whiz over his shoulder,at first he thought is was Kou targeting Sai but then he saw the bolt go past Sai and instead hit the very same monster they were fighting earlier. The bolt struck the crystals on its arm blowing it back in a blue explosion as the crystals exploded. Then Rex began to spot more monsters from earlier: fox like hounds, stone fox knight statues, and zombified possessed corpses of farmers with scythes.
"Did you guys happen to run through without killing any of the opponents you came across? That's exactly what this looks like." Rex asked drawing his sword. Rebeloutlaw

Yvach just stared at the man for a few seconds before wheeling on the spot. "I want any writing we find. You take anything else." He began walking towards the buildings that hadn't fallen. The blood gibbons shambled after him, the fetchbat hanging high to watch Ryouga. Hopefully he would simply follow. It would be a shame if he tried to kill Yvach. He had just eaten.
-I wouldn’t know Mr. Dalton, as I said I’m just a humble scavenger and trader, I don’t consider myself a military leader. - Nikolas explained as he slid on the ground, using his cane as some sort of oar, since he removed the friction from his sole, or decreased it a lot and added friction to the base of his walking stick. – I share the same worries as your young friend here, I would personally avoid a place where people are vanishing, I might be old but I’m not ready to leave this world. – Old Man Physema started thinking as she slid on the ground, thankfully the roads weren’t really obstructed. –Still I consider that it would be smart, or at least cautious to inspect said are from afar, do any of you carry some kind of binoculars?- He checked his bag and got a worn out pair. –Mine aren’t very powerful and I would miss many things.-
"Don't worry old man." said Mark as he reaches into a small pouch with fainting texture to pull out his own binoculars. Though it was in a much better condition the other binoculars, it still contain a decent amount of dirt all over the metallic body and dust has gathered around the corners of the lens, which the owner is currently trying to get rid of with a surprising clean piece of white cloth. "Nothing is going to escape my field of vision with this." As Mark cleans his binoculars with a couple of gentle motions, Jack continues to ponder what their next move was going to be. He didn't want to risk losing a good source of information, yet at the same time he had a feeling that there was a danger that they needed to watch out for. "We're going to go check out it from a safe distance. If it looks like nothing is out of the ordinary, then we can proceed with the scavenging." Mark finishes his task and together the group heads towards the distance temple. On the way, Mark asks the Friction manipulator a question in a very layback attitude, "So what's Japan like?"
-With Yvach-Prophet_of_Plague Ryouga watched the weird man as he just walked away. His interest was disappearing fast as the man wasn't quite as interesting as he seemed. He watched the man for about a minute then decided the people he left might be more entertaining and so he started running back the way he came. Once he reached that location he sniffed the air and caught thwir sent and followed it to a shrine. He stood outside of it not quite ready to go in as the scents diverged here and he wasn't sure which to follow. -The shrine-Fleet Admiral "Wait there were enemies?" Sai asked as he turned around and saw the monsters. "I apoligize. We used a manner of transportation that decreased our awareness of our surrounding. But let us handle these since it was our fault," Yuuto said as wind scythes flew past him aimed at the larger monsters. Yuuto also joined in battling the corpses dodging the corpses with fluid martial arts and sending powerful kicks at their heads.
The larger stone fox knight golems had no room to evade in the tight passage they were walking through so those at the front fell prey to the wind scythes. The scythe wielding corpses had their heads turn 180 by Yuuto's kicks but they continued their assault with their scythes as their heads turned back around to their correct position. The seawood blue crystal monster charged in the room and called razor sharp seaweed tentacles from the ground to cut apart Yuuto, Sai, Kou, and Rex.
Rex and Raikou sprung into action as the seaweed monster tried to shred them. Raikou cut through the tentacles with his electrically infused sword and Rex escaped the tentacles with Fading Dragon and appeared next to the seaweed monster. He sent a shockwave from his fist with Quake which caused the crystals on its other arm to explode. Raikou then moving at a mach 5 stabbed the monster in it's supposed eyes with his two swords and let it reel back from the pain. Then he and Rex bisected the monster while it was vulnerable together.
More stone golems and scythe wielding corpses emerged into the room, Rex and Raikou backed away to the door that leads to the room beyond this one. They were letting Sai and Yuuto handle the ones they wanted to since they wanted to do this themselves. Rex and Raikou only cut apart the golems and corpses that went towards them.

Yvach smiled when the man dashed off. There we go. He spun on the spot and made whispering growls. The entire group turned to follow. Let this man lead. Yvach could just follow. And follow he did, group silent, Fetchbat watching from above. He stopped when he saw Ryouga paused. Was he... sniffing? No good trying to keep hidden if he had an enhanced sense of smell. Yvach and his family were strong smelling. He rolled down the hill and ran after, slowing down to walk the last 50 feet or so to quell any fears of attack. Looks like he was stuck working with this man.
-Dusty, desolated and handled by three cities that wish to keep prosperity for themselves while the people outside their tall walls and ivory towers suffer.- Nikolas spoke as if his tongue was covered in bile, he couldn’t stomach the City Dwellers who hid from the reality of the world, behind the comfort and security they didn’t plan to share with others unless you fulfilled their standards. The Old Man thought that sooner or later the cities would fall under their own weight and that an open community was needed to reinvigorate not only the economy but also the culture and civilization. Hoarding knowledge under excuses of “protection” was something unforgivable for him.
-There are bandits, heat and empowered individuals all around, not a place to raise a family or have an honest job, but I try.- Nikolas added before asking a question. –So where are you from?-
"I see." said Mark as he steers his head towards the sky in a casual fashion, which appear to be a casual gesture on his own part, but truth be told he wanted to avoid making direct eye contact with Nikolas for a little bit. His brief recap of the current situation in Japan was both promising and also worrying at the same time. He never imagine that there would actually be functional sections of civilization in Japan when they first got here. The fact that successful cities exist was good news indeed, yet there may seem to be an issue with how the cities function. Still, he was not going to judge the cities until he sees what's going on exactly himself. He removes his eyes off the clouds and looks at Jack, who seems to be as emotional as a rock when he heard the information, when the old man asked his question.
Without even turning his head, Jack nods his head and Mark proceeds to supply an answer to the question, "Well, as you can probably guess we aren't exactly from here." Mark pulls out a handmade cigarette as he continues with his short story, "You see, we needed to move across a great body of water to arrive here from where we live. Yet, before the ocean, we actually had to travel on foot from one side of our continent to another." He pulls out a rusty lighter with a fading blue tint as he lights his cig. He inhales deeply before letting out a massive cloud of smoke."We are pretty far away from home is pretty much what I'm getting at here." he said in a rather blunt tone. "I doubt you would know what we actually call our new nation, but it was refer to as America before the raise of the New Dawn Empire.
A few minutes later.....
The small group arrive at a high point overlooking a good portion of the city, which included a temple from a considerable distance away, roughly a mile or so. Mark pulls out his binoculars and places them over his eyes as he scans the area. Almost immediately he notice the two individuals by the temple along with a few strange beasts hanging out in the sky. "Seems like we have a few guests by the temple. My money is on the strange looking one being behind the disappearances." Jack on the other hang didn't comment at all and he simply tries to pay attention to everything going on with his enhance hearing and air detention via his air pressure manipulation. Meanwhile Mark offers his binoculars to the old man, "Here Nick, use this if you want a good view."
-The shrine-Fleet Admiral Sai and Yuuto regrouped together as they saw their attacks weren't doing as much as they figured. "Yuuto I'm releasing the other half of my power," Sai said as he held out his right hand and moved his fingers slightly. The water vapar in the air froze and turned into hundreds of ice needles. The needles flew towards him and floated in the air. He them shot the needles at the corpses. He then formed and launched balls of condensed air at the golems. Yuuto followed suit and after the needles were launched he went after the corpses again this time aiming for the necks to decapitate them.
-Outside the shrine-Prophet_of_Plague@waybig1010101@oldmanmeteor Ryouga turned once he smelled the man come closer. It wasn't a smell that was easy to forget. "I just can't get away from ya," he joked. He was about to say something else when he heard and smelled something feint. He turned towards the direction acting like he was just looking around and saw vaguely three figures watching him. He had to focus some energy in his eyes to see them due to the distance. Without giving the fact they were being watched to his companion he smiled up at them and motioned for them to come to them.
